I have been hearing people say similar things about the main character in Spark of the Everflame so I have been putting it off! Hoping you find some five stars in May! 💸
Here's to normalising doing other things than make you happy instead of only reading!! I am glad Hayes came in to save the day in the end, lol. I am sooo curious to see what Herald is gonna bring 👀
My faves in April were The Crimson Court by Brendan Noble, Heartless Hunter, Empire of the Damned, and Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez!!
Really enjoy your monthly wrap ups! 😍
My fav was probably the last Realm of the Elderlings book. 💞
🐦🔥
AHHH THE LAST ONE prob heart breaking
Vera Wong's Unsolicited Advice for Murderers was my favorite book of April. Second was The Reformatory.
ohhhhhh ive heard that's a fun one
I’m sorry you didn’t have a good reading month! Hopefully it turns around soon! I’m really curious about Lady of Darkness though! 🐦🔥
I just got When the Moon Hatched and I’m hoping I’ll like it. I also have Spark of the Everflame. Recently got it cuz of the FOMO. Everyone seems to be enjoying it so I needed to see the hype lol.
I think you could like both!!!!
My favorite read was all of the Faithful and the Fallen series.
I should restart book threee!
This series is one of my all time favorites. I finished in March and I miss those characters so much! 🦋
@@kerisbookishcorner2864 I'm gonna be thinking about Maquin for a long time.
I also didn’t really care for when the moon hatched. I will probably also read the second one, but it was a bummer, because I was expecting it to be a new favorite!
Nooo not even a 4 😫idk if that's ever happened to me! Hopefully May is going better so far with escape
Ooh I've been looking for an adult fanro that has the same balance as YA fantasy. Lady of Darkness is on my Every Romantasy tbr so will be getting to it soon!
I hope you enjoy lady of darkness!!!!
My favorite read was Love Contract by Sophie Lark it was a romance month 😂
My favourite book of April is One Dark Window. It's fun read and the Bulgarian edition is 😍gorgeous😍
I'm so sorry Cassidy, "Lady of Darkness isn't a fantasy romance, it is a fantasy with a romance in it" made me add it to my TBR. 🙈 I don't think I actually like romance stories? I want a slower burn than what I've encountered in romances so far (and finding out some people are misusing the term slow burn that badly makes me want to perish). Even when I look at fandom ships of mine, I enjoy tense situationships way more than the actual "they're a couple now" portion of shipping. I still have a few more fantasy romances I want to read before I write off the genre altogether, and I feel sad about it.
im always glad when I can make someone interested in picking up a book with my review
I'm glad April was a fun month overall!
I only read 3 books in April, probably the worst reading month I've had in a long time. Just wasn't in the mood to read. 🤷♀
My favorite of the month was Bookshops & Bonedust, which amuses me since I didn't get the hype for Legends & Lattes and was salty about it last year. 😂
I am still salty about it 😂😂😂
@@RyeMiArt about Legends & Lattes or Bookshops & Bonedust? 😅
@@caitcoy I feel very meh about Legends and Lattes so I did not even get to Bookshops 😅
@@RyeMiArt totally fair! B&B fixed some things for me but probably just depends on what you felt meh about in L&L. And if you are still feeling salty, probably not worth your time to try it. 😂
@@caitcoy I won't 😂 I already sold my copy of L&L and don't want to hear about it but it still keeps being mentioned everywhere 😂 I felt meh about it when finishing but I dislike it more and more as time passes. Idk why, it's just...i don't get the hype, it was so boring for me, esp the second half.
I typically do 50 pages a day (lately...) and don't read over the weekend, so you're doing way better than me.
I hope you appreciate the slow burn of Penn Cole’s series as it goes on in books 2 and 3. But you’re right, it is subjective.

My worst month as well, april just wasn't giving this year.
it really wasn't

Hi there Hi there Hi there
Moon Hatched is sounding more and more not like me haha. The writing style does not seem like it. Nor does the number of lake references lol. My friend looked it up - 26 lake references
yeaaaah its an interesting writing style.i did not catch the lake references though
I felt the same reading the Spark of the Everflame! I still haven’t finished it.🪽🦋🪽
