If you're downloading it online it partially is determined by the Storage disc but mostly by the ethernet/wifi capabilities of the motherboard of the console. It also depends on the wifi itself so the best way too determine speeds is to download a disc game offline between an HDD and an SSD
Problem is that that also is limited by the disc drive's speed, that's why some games don't even come in the disc, but the disc is just a key for a digital copy of the game which is downloaded from the Store and inserting the disc just makes the console know you have a copy of the license to play it, biggest example is Modern Warfare II, the disc actually doesn't contain the game or any game data, just the key that gives you access to the digital game

Jose rodriguez still can’t & will not believe it b/c I have read no such thing on the internet & have watched some videos that claim otherwise & say its internet based
An SSD wont improve your download speed. The difference was most likely due to the network having different amounts of bandwidth being taken up. The only difference you’ll see with SSDs are that boot-up, game loading and data copying will he faster.
if its a standard SSD compatible with PC its 100% worth the upgrade just take it out of your ps4, format it, and stick it into a mid - high range pc kek
Major flaws. SSD doesn't help if your internet sucks genius. It basically helps with the loading of game resources and cuts down on the load times. Hence, it produces best with the higher end consoles like xbox one x and ps4 pro because of their better raw processors and gpu. In numbers it produces normally 4 times or more depending on the type of ssd one is using.
This is true because the SSD doesnt throw off heat like a HDD does. You can barely hear it running now. Also get a vertical stand that has openings on the sides to allow the bottom breathe.
