      I wold store it at work. I commute on a folding bike and fold it up and store it next to my desk.

    • @burgienl
      @burgienl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I have done that when we still went to offices.

      @Paul Neal When bike chains "stretch" it is the rollers that have worn but I get what you mean. Chains are used on high end racing and mountain bikes. It is a well established technology. I think they made the right choice to use one and enclose it.

    • @burgienl
      @burgienl 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Paul Neal The guard is not only there to protect the chain. It will also protect your clothes and the design simply looks really clean this way.So if you use the guard anyway, then a belt isn't necessary.

    I have one these. Fantastic bike. Yes you do need mudguards (fenders) and lights. There is also a really cool bag that fits on the front stem. You didn’t completely fold the bike in your video as the seat tube can be removed and stored in the bungee with an ingenious plug to hold it in place. A truly innovative product.

      Good point, Mark. It does fold down more than we showed. Further showing how easily it is to store this or keep it out of the way. We were highly impressed with the creativity on display in the design.

      Thanks for the additional info. That seat sticking up would prohibit me from storing it in certain places as well as getting it comfortably in my car.

      @@JnTmarie The seat post can be removed easily and then clipped to the folded bike, so you’d have no difficulty storing it in a small car boot.

    Love this bike. It’s so cool looking. Love the innovation. The kick stand should fold up to avoid hurting someone you pass!
    I have a heybike Mars. It is 20lbs heavier and I didn’t feel comfortable maneuvering on nyc streets the tires are cheap. So thin. Had to spend over $300 For new ones. No point in having a great bike if the tires are crap! The experienced tech guy said all the delivery guys come to him and they get a new inner tube but the tire is crap so they can be back again with a flat in a few hours ! That’s why I invested in top tires.
    I got an electric Brompton from the Brompton store i can trust to get 8year warranty and service! I wish it was as cool looking as the go cycle but it folds up smaller, the battery is removable for charging and it is reliable. Be careful ordering bikes online Make sure you can get service. My tech guy for the Mars bike recommended I buy certain parts from hey bike to have on hand if I want the bike to last. Not finding parts can leave the bike useless in a few years and a waste of the money you invested.
    My experience has taught me don’t buy anything you can’t get service quickly on.

      Tires do not last forever. So, all bikes that are ridden will eventually get new tires.

    can you order more substantial tires, not full off road but more than just street tires

    Lovely looking, obviously well designed bike, but you wouldn’t buy a car without lights, so why does this expensive bike not have them as standard? As a full time bike commuter for 26 years, I would prefer to have mudguards too, but then I don’t live somewhere like California where the summer is long & gloriously sunny. Rain will ruin any outfit if you’re not properly prepared. I have looked at videos & read many reviews of this bike & cannot find one that shows bags or carrier accessories. Again, considering the wonderful, clever design of the bikes themselves, I am disappointed that equally clever , easy add-on/ take off solutions for shopping etc.
    have not been developed. As a now older commuter, I would appreciate not having the weight of a backpack. Otherwise, this bike would be my number one choice as an investment

    • @photorockbar471
      @photorockbar471 ปีที่แล้ว

      99% of bikes do not come with lights and bags. That is often a personal choice preference depending on needs.

    • @woodbinevilla3900
      @woodbinevilla3900 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are just re-iterating what I said myself. Bikes not having lights to date does not mean the situation shouldn’t change. Of course the purchaser should be given choices, or allowed to change accessories at a future date, but I’m merely saying sellers should not be allowed to let bikes out their doors without some form of light. In the instance of these high-tech machines, I feel it is even more of a let-down to sell them without lights. As regards the bags & other accessories, I am just making a plea for more appraisals of them too.

    How does it climb steep hills?

    • @Alanicus1
      @Alanicus1 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well enough. There is a boost button which enables you to apply full power on the steepest sections.

    • @ElectricBikeReport
      @ElectricBikeReport  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      We were pleasantly surprised with how capable it was on hills. Heavier riders on steeper hills might have some trouble, but for average commutes with smaller hills here and there it will get the job done quite well.

    Electrical failure twice in 15 months and lengthy repair period (7 weeks and counting) and horrendously obnoxious people in charge of consumers has driven me to call this a Nocycle. That marketing line of it being maintenance free is of course absolute bullax.
    I would spend my hard earned money elsewhere, unless you want an expensive bike to keep in your closet or show off to your friends once a while.
    But if you really really want one my advice would be: read long term reviews and try squeezing longer warranty time out of them.
