My entry point to AC universe was Odyssey. Boy oh boy was I confused. Then I played Black Flag that got me even more confused (sage story). Ezio trilogy made it all clear for me.
biggest crime in AC lore is killing juno off in a fucking comic book, they set up the narrative after AC3 well & could have done so much with junos story, instead of just seeing glimpses of her in black flag/rogue/unity in cryptic messages for her to just vanish out of the narrative

@@Nutterbutter123 this was featured in the main storyline of Odyssey - Kassandra, with the Staff of Hermes Trismegistus, is biologically immortal and manages to live up to modern day, where she (at the advice of the ISU Aletheia, whose consciousness resides within the Staff) hands over the Staff to Layla (the so-called Heir of Memories). Valhalla focuses more on the destruction of the 'Norse' ISU, their subsequent 'reincarnation' plan and Loki (an ISU) being awakened in modern day in the body of Basim Ibn Ishaq (kept in a state of dormancy in Yggdrasil).

This story line is the truth about our creation as human beings. The 3 gods name was just changed. Alot of twist in story line but is still a stem of the truth. Its all coming from the Tablet of Thoth. The 3 gods were Enki, Enlil and Anu.
Came across this video to summarise what's been going on - LOVE IT. Thanks for this. Btw, if it's not already been suggested - I think the answer to 9:00 is the Mimir Well in Valhalla, isn't it?
I like the whole deep lore rework thing that they are doing with origins and odyssey and valhalla. the fate of atlantis DLC was amazing i really like the concept of isu being the gods our ancestors worshipped.
its great that you like the new direction and rewrite of ac lore but i personably disagree. both gameplay and lore was relatively grounded in our own reality, and the isu was the answer and the "real" reason to why humans have historicaly been religous and believed in magic and the supernatural, and why people and leaders of the world have always strived for power. the departure from this in both gameplay and lore to have actual superpowers and the isu being gods or godlike beings takes away the feeling of what if that was OUR reality and deep philosofical and existential questions that the lore of ac provided.
I thought Mirage would really set up Loki and Aletheia as the new Isu antagonists of the games. A proper, fully attuned Sage, a disembodied voice that doesn’t have godlike power over the internet. I was so READY.
@@morris9974 the thing is, it can be a simulation, but it can also be reality, like all previous AC, in the videos of Adam and eve we can see a futuristic city, and atlantis is like that, if you combine all of my points then it creates the question, is atlantis the real city of the issu?
WOW, great video man! I'm looking forward to your newer ones and one question I have is how is Eivor able to talk to Odin at the end where he proceeds to explain solar flares? I thought he was locked away in that machine located underground in Norway.
I've personally never really liked the Isu or the Precursors. Seeing an idea of what History could have been like or the "why" something may have happened, when talking about the more supernatural parts of history, is generally interesting. But I generally feel that they take away from the game's scope when it comes to depth. It's a problem in a lot of titles when you can point at something and say "this is where it came from/ this is what caused it" and when dealing with the differing gods of the many cultures that have spanned Human History... it can really feel hollow and at times dismissive to have a "ah, this is the answer" for beings that were created to explain what was then, the unexplainable. Still, the video was really well done. Great job compiling and explaining a lot of the jumbled parts of the lore.
Yknow this plot is a little bit like Halo. The assassins are the UNSC. Desmond and Layla are kinda like Spartans (their blood / lineage makes them the “chosen ones”) the isu are the fore runners, they have ancient hi tech artifacts and the templars are the covenant, they want to wield the artifacts of isu for their own benefit, or to their lesser counterparts, elevate them to heaven.
Man am I glad I stopped playing the games after 3 when Desmond died. I heard Black Flag was really good but I couldn't be arsed to keep investing. Considering Juno's story was relegated to comic and how crazy it got, I'm completely validated in that decision in my mind.
I highly suggest playing most of the games for the actual historical side of things. I own the entire franchise but never spent more than $50 on a game because I wait for it to be on sale. Specifically black flag was only $10 with the DLC recently, And most of the games can be bought for $20-$40 if you get lucky and find a bundle deal. Just ignore the Isu parts if they're really that much of a deal breaker for you (which is totally fair, I'm debating on dropping the franchise because of how confusing it all is getting)
AC Odyssey (specifically the fate of Atlantis DLC) Left me completely confused with the isu. I am so lost now that I'm tempted to drop the franchise, it was so much easier and more simple when I could just toss any plot holes into either the "the Animus is buggy" or "the isu were too advanced to understand" bins. Hopefully this video clears some of it up
The only thing that bothers me about this story is nothing to do with the actual story itself but how it was treated by Ubisoft post AC3, which is the original story that the modern day narrative was building up to was completely scrapped & the modern day story was just left in never ending state of endless procrastination in order to make sure that the AC series can enterally go on In perpetuity. But Ubisoft studio heads still had to deal with the headaches of having give some kind of conclusion to a story that their ex employees had started all those years ago but *NOT* in an official videogame capacity so Ubisoft doesn’t have to spend any real money to make full fledged videogame just to shut the fans up. So Ubisoft just dumped a half assed conclusion inside a comic & just move on as if the games that came before just never happened.
Thats....a lot. Wow. Thank you so much for this video, it explained many things and I cannot wait to see what Loki is going to do in th future. I'm still unsure if he is a villain, hero or some kind of anti-hero in this whole plot. We shall see.
Is this the comicstorian? great video very useful. I have one question though that I’m sure someone in the comments can answer but those scene with Odin at that table what are they from I’ve played all of the main game of Valhalla so I’m guessing one of the dlc?
Man much needed. I've played everything but Origins and Odyssey and I Absolutely love the lore in this series but definitely confusing. Can't wait to see future videos on this!
I did enjoy this video and I did agree with most of this stuff because if anybody played the games they would know these things. But I'm under the impression Loki is a human/isu hybrid and maybe so we're all of those other gods in Valhalla, but my thing is Desmond was still wasted because Layla joined him for absolutely no reason. I'm just mad at the writing of AC in Valhalla. The Staff had something special an they wasted it
Wait a second!!! #1, I just found this channel. It's awesome, so thank you!! But!!!!! I've played all the games. How did I miss that Loki reincarnated as Basim??? What about the Sage from Black Flag??? Who is that???
Welcome to the channel! Ignore some of those older videos, they are slowly going to be removed as I improve and fix a bunch. But as for your Sage question, thats Juno's husband. I'll be making a video on the Sages and Resurrections soonish (I have the Daniel Cross story next week and wanted to explain the 6 Apples of Eden first) The Basim/Loki and Eivor/Odin resurrections are actually separate from the Sage resurrections though.

My entry point to AC universe was Odyssey. Boy oh boy was I confused. Then I played Black Flag that got me even more confused (sage story). Ezio trilogy made it all clear for me.
The footage of Adam and Eve running at 7:08 ...which game is that from?
first assassins creed secret video iirc.
It was there in AC2
biggest crime in AC lore is killing juno off in a fucking comic book, they set up the narrative after AC3 well & could have done so much with junos story, instead of just seeing glimpses of her in black flag/rogue/unity in cryptic messages for her to just vanish out of the narrative
Reason why I love AC origins despite not being a fan of the series, is the setting and the ISUs. It’s like Ancient Aliens…
If I can fall down the Metal Gear rabbit hole, I can fall down the Assassin’s Crees rabbit hole.
Yep, they're dropping bread crumbs
@@timothy8080 More like just Bread 🍞
Juno plot was the best part... to hell with the comic
Can someone explain Kassandra and why she’s immortal? I played odyssey but I literally could not care enough to pay attention. Same with Valhalla but I liked it enough to actually finish it, didn’t even recognize Kassandra at first in those few missions
Immortal because she had the staff of hermes as it's a piece of Eden and that's why when she let go she turned to dust
@@solowingpixy2242 ok, didn’t know she turned to dust. I only played Valhalla’s main campaign, went back after a few months when there was a bunch of new content but I uninstalled like the next day bc I forgot how tedious it was. Thanks for the info brother!
Also based on the Sumerian tablets of the annunaki
Please make more of these, I just played through the whole series over the past year or so, this helps a lot especially with the Juno plotline
My grandfather was a grandmaster mason and i can confirm there was some very very weird shit going on with them.
The scary part to me is even before assassin's creed i thought that this was the case in real life and the "Elite" are hiding this truth from the world
The cutscene with Odin around that table with the other Isu, whats that from?
Very useful video but the reason i gave the like is your clear voice. You were very instrucrive good job keep uploading videos with your normal accent
13:27 Altair. The Assassins had him go through Ezio's life
So basically... the Frigging annunaki! This made me loke AC sooo much more
When in AC 4 is the cutscene at 15:20 from?
I'd love to see more franchise lore added onto this channel tekken, mk, dead space, last of us godamn there are to many to mention but yeah I'm looking forward to seeing what this channel brings us much love to you Andy Hudson Dan hey and sal also loved that you Rob managed to get a video out not long ago 🤞
I didn’t need Bennys voice right now, 😔🥲 RIP
This story line is the truth about our creation as human beings. The 3 gods name was just changed. Alot of twist in story line but is still a stem of the truth. Its all coming from the Tablet of Thoth. The 3 gods were Enki, Enlil and Anu.
Humans weren’t created.
We evolved through natural, well understood processes. This is a work of fiction as are real world gods.
Came across this video to summarise what's been going on - LOVE IT. Thanks for this.
Btw, if it's not already been suggested - I think the answer to 9:00 is the Mimir Well in Valhalla, isn't it?
Can you explain the complete kenway saga?
I like the whole deep lore rework thing that they are doing with origins and odyssey and valhalla. the fate of atlantis DLC was amazing i really like the concept of isu being the gods our ancestors worshipped.
its great that you like the new direction and rewrite of ac lore but i personably disagree. both gameplay and lore was relatively grounded in our own reality, and the isu was the answer and the "real" reason to why humans have historicaly been religous and believed in magic and the supernatural, and why people and leaders of the world have always strived for power. the departure from this in both gameplay and lore to have actual superpowers and the isu being gods or godlike beings takes away the feeling of what if that was OUR reality and deep philosofical and existential questions that the lore of ac provided.
great video, what is the background music at the start?
I thought Mirage would really set up Loki and Aletheia as the new Isu antagonists of the games. A proper, fully attuned Sage, a disembodied voice that doesn’t have godlike power over the internet. I was so READY.
This is extremely confusing with this sage thing .. and the tower things. My goodness
I love the AC lore. Just gives it so much more
I read elsewhere that the Templars were put in place by King Aelfred. He called himself Poor Soldier fellow of Christ, just like the Templars would
I love this wish you did each character in detail
Question, the expansion of atlantis on odessy was the actual past of the issu??
It was simulation created by alethia in order to teach Kassandra about the staff of Hermes.
@@morris9974 the thing is, it can be a simulation, but it can also be reality, like all previous AC, in the videos of Adam and eve we can see a futuristic city, and atlantis is like that, if you combine all of my points then it creates the question, is atlantis the real city of the issu?
@@redscul129 well in assassins creed lore it probably once was a city.
@@morris9974 lool, OBVIOUSLY was a city, but, was atlantis THE city
@@redscul129 the City of Adam and Eve? I don't think so
You’re doing god’s work my friend
"Cringe" 😂😂 Benny you are the man
Man for the first 30 seconds I didnt recognize it was Benny from Comicstorian lmao
I woke up this morning repeatedly saying "Isu" to myself. I have not played AC since the Black Flag days. I searched and found this video 1st...
WOW, great video man! I'm looking forward to your newer ones and one question I have is how is Eivor able to talk to Odin at the end where he proceeds to explain solar flares? I thought he was locked away in that machine located underground in Norway.
Odin is projected from Eviors mind, its why only Evior can see him.
Odin wasnt trapped in the machine, that was Basim.
Your not cringe for mispronouncing😂 it is a bit frustrating when a lot of things are said in game but that’s a lot to go through. Amazing vid
This reminds me of Chuck Austen's Max take on Eternals.
Damn didn’t realize it was comicstorian till halfway through!!
This is Comicstorian and that's from the ending of the Odin storyline in the main game
Animus anomalies. Do them and you shall see
Welcome back
You too!
Woah found another comicstorian channel? Nice
Man much needed. I've played everything but Origins and Odyssey and I Absolutely love the lore in this series but definitely confusing. Can't wait to see future videos on this!
Is there a character named Beth-Ann Donaldson who goes around to get all the pieces
How did I randomly remember the name of this channel and decide to look it up just to see it's uploaded in the last 2 hours wtf
LOL Now thats funny
Awesome video! Story well explained! Thanks for making it! Also, I wonder what's the BGM starting around 15.00? Thanks!
The Staff had something special an they wasted it
I hope it comes back around very soon, because I agree right now its just wasted.
Loki wasnt a half breed, he was just a different race of ISU.
@@EligibleMonsterAre they tho (Asgard Sages)? We only know what Valhalla told us. For all we know, they could have been reborn before or even after. Their DNA was introduced into the human DNA gene pool so it is possible. All the Aita Sages only had the memories of ISU Aita, never the memories of their past human lives.
One of the most interesting/ historical accurate video game franchises in history. Up there with GoW
I thought the golden guy at The Tree was desmond not loki?
Is it me or are the ISU are cut down in power of the Ancient Atlanteans from Star Gate & Ancestors from HALO,
Your explanation was very good and you are the first one who to mention like there is many sections of isu I watched a couple of exploration videos about the precursor race but no one had mentioned the trio June or Jupiter, and manner of a lot better than you. You know in five minutes and also explained why there is mythology in the game.
Will you also take a look at the old Nintendo DS games?
Yep Im looking at how to aquire them, or at least the footage and stories.
2:15 The history of the Isu all over the place. Well, the same can be said about the history of humans.
Remember when Ubisoft said they would remove the mini crossbow from altair because it didnt exist at the time?
Now look at all the stuff your character can equip
Is this one of the guys from comicstorian?
This videogame franchise is just Ancient Aliens.
Dude, I found a wiki talking about random things about the Thousand Year War, Forerunners, Pak, intergalactic exploration... Like, what?!
Holy shit, you’re back!? That’s a nice surprise!!
So Loki/basim is the same sage from Black Flag ?
No. Desperate to save the life of her beloved aita, juno embarked on a quest to acquire th 'mead'. This particular innovation, if used correctly, could reincarnate some members of th isu as humans in th distant future. Upon odin's visit to jotunheim to meet aletheia, she discovered that he also sought th 'mead' n so decided to wait until she n her lover loki dealt w/ him before deciding to collaborate w/ odin to steal th serum. W/ both th isu taking samples of th fluid, she cautioned him to use th serum moments before his death, in order for it to work. W/ th 'mead' know in hand, she was able to successfully insert her late husband's essence into a human bloodline. This allowed th aesir reincarnate once in th 9th century, n aita to reincarnate in human form again n again throughout th eons
I acctually find it funny when people call u out for miss pronounceing something no one can pronounce lol
I didn't know he had other channels just found this one (comic full story) is another
The ezio trilogy soundtrack is masterclass. Up there with other gaming OSTs.
I watched this, and now I STILL have NO idea what the lore behind this is. It’s so needlessly complicated lmao
I jumped into the franchise with Syndicate and was so confused when I first played it. Ever since I’ve started comprehending the entire story better, but I mostly just ignore the present day plot now. The history is what I’m interested in anyway. I do appreciate the soft reboot they did with the last three games. Valhalla definitely gave me a more comprehensible storyline - I finally understand where the present day story is heading lol
