I Loved hearing them unplugged the harmony is amazing they will never be replaced. I had hoped to see them do one more show - sadly never to happen now. RIP David your talent will be greatly missed. Your songs always swept me away to a younger time - such wonderful memories - thank you all for giving me much happiness over the years!!
I was lucky enough to see CSNY in Atlanta once in about early 2000's during a reunion type tour with ole' Neil. Then saw CSN open for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers a few years after. Then took my Brother to see CSN at Chastain Park Amphitheater in ATL for his Birthday. Great music, great times and threw me back to the Late 60's and early 70's and,what a great time in Music and really in America had it not been for that wretched Vietnam War that took away too many of mine and your Friends.
I have been a fan of the Byrds {Crosby}, Buffalo Springfield {Stills} and the Hollies {Nash} since the days they became famous in the 60's. There is no better harmony anywhere anytime. True legends and the most underated band in history.
OMG! You said exactly the same thing I was going to say! Yes, Crosby in the Byrds, Nash in the Hollies, and the clincher was hearing those first 2 notes of "For What It's Worth" by Stills and Young in Springfield on TV in 1967. I was hooked FOR LIFE! I was 12 that summer. I'm 66 now and Love them even MORE than I did 56 yrs ago. I have all their music,writings, books, dvds, bootlegs and autographs and memories from the greatest moments of my life when I met them. Graham kissed me! David and Stephen told me they loved me. Now I can die happy. I still have to meet Neil before one of us dies, tho. My whole life I've been their devoted love slave. They have made my life better with their GOD given talents and other worldly voices. You KNOW GOD brought them together. And they helped us " Change the world". We are fortunate to have videos like this to see and listen. These guys were one of a kinds whose harmonies and melodies touch your soul. Lots of negative comments about Crosby in the media but music like this overshadows the negative. Enjoy this while you're still alive, it was great times back then. Many have done "unplugged" but holy fuck, no one ever came close to these guys. What a treasure. I have known ever since the began in 1969 and I know they are so underrated.
A great intimate live concert at the backside of their singing ability! So "real" with all it's slightly off key renditions! Love this experience. An absolute treasure!
That's a proper comparison. I remember when they played Woodstock. It was the three of them playing acoustic guitar and singing. Just like they are doing here.

The vocal harmony of "4 + 20" at 7:09 is just pure gold. The original track has only Stills vocals in it and it's great, but with Crosby and Nash it becomes a masterpiece.

SMART, NANCY! SMART MOM! I've loved them since I was 12. I'm 68 now. I've seen them in concert over 100 times and have every album, book and mag article they ever made. They are the best group GOD ever created!
Saw CSN in September 2001, it was truly one of the best concerts of my life and I am 69 & I started going to concerts on my 13th birthday, so that’s so so many concerts, Bravo!!!👏
Unless you lived it in the 70's it is hard to explain how BIG CSN and CSNY were. People would rush to the big record stores at midnight for the latest album. Their tours were massive. They were the messengers.

I love each of them. I prefer the three alone. Young alone. He was not fair to the others at important moments and for that, I prefer to listen to him as a solo artist. Stephen Stills would have been the only one I would have wanted to meet and talk with. He stands out as a man who is everyone’s equal. He never appeared to do anything but be a real partner when they played together, didn’t seem to need a lot of outside support, but willing to give it, and always show up - keeping his word. I would have loved to just listen to him daydream.
Crosby once complained that Stills could sometimes treat him and Nash as quote "his backing singers" - watch this video and discover that that's exactly what they were.

I was fortunate enough to be in Milwaukee for the’74’ concert. Jesse Colin Young, and of course C,S,N & Y. I walked into the kitchen of our apartment around midnight the night before and we had about 18 people there who were going with us, lol. Everyone was stoned and a chorus of snoring abounds. I still have my ticket stub from that day, and the price of 7 dollars and 50 cents. Even now at the age of 73 I can hear the echo from the final encore with all three bands doing Neil’s Only Love Can Break Your Heart floating in an amazing silence.
I met a roadie from the Muir Woods studio days. He was a fishing captain that came to my town to offload his catch. He told me the story of just a song before I go. Stills was the last one to leave after a day in the studio. The roadie said to him, you are such a great song writer, I bet you can write a song any time you try. Stills just began plucking and made a song out of the concept right there on the spot.

I walked into the kitchen of our apartment around midnight the night before and we had about 18 people there who were going with us, lol. Everyone was stoned and a chorus of snoring abounds. I still have my ticket stub from that day, and the price of 7 dollars and 50 cents. Even now at the age of 73 I can hear the echo from the final encore with all three bands doing Neil’s Only Love Can Break Your Heart floating in an amazing silence.
I love these voices separately just as much as the next but damn if together they aren’t the crest together

When listening as a child in our ford galaxy 500, interpretation was magically imagined. ❤️
I met a roadie from the Muir Woods studio days. He was a fishing captain that came to my town to offload his catch. He told me the story of just a song before I go. Stills was the last one to leave after a day in the studio. The roadie said to him, you are such a great song writer, I bet you can write a song any time you try. Stills just began plucking and made a song out of the concept right there on the spot.
