Gary Rossington on lead guitar 🎸 this original lineup also had Ed King and Allen Collins on guitar, they all played lead and rhythm and would harmonize some of their guitar parts, like the Allman brothers
Don't forget Biz not only did RVZ have an attitude he would woop that ass on a bad drinking day. This band Biz wooped each others ass over a wrong note being played. Next up is GIVE ME A T FOR TEXAS live at Knebworth It really shows off their greatness musically. Steve Gains had really found his grove being the new guitarist. Brilliant performance by the band.

Biz... put down the golf clubs and pick up the fishing reel! It's a sport of skill and patience. When I was younger, I'd complain to my Dad when we didn't catch anything after fishing all day. His response was, "That's why it's called fishing and not catching". LOL !! Two weeks ago, I caught a 25-inch Red Drum fish off the South Texas coast. I grilled and blackened that sucker and it was f'n delicious.

Skynyrd’s guitar attack was always awesome, these guys were in my opinion terribly underrated. Biz, down here fishing is almost like a religion, young and old. Throw that phone down and grab a rod and reel. Ronnie loved fishing. There are video interviews with him on the lake fishing. Oh and “Was I right or wrong ?” Is another awesome song of their’s but is never on the radio. Give it a shot.

Ronnie loved fishing. He'd fished all his life. It cleared his head and let him escape from pressures. He wrote several LS songs while fishing too.

I love the bee gees, in 70s and other good bands but lynryd skynryd was my alltime favorite band because they were real. Ronnie would stand up against anything. But he had such a talent to talk about real feelings and life. Greatest leadman. May not have had Freddie range or plant but Ronnie had heart out the ass. My favorite

Well back in the 70s some people had some stuff going on, and they didn't wanna be talking about it to no one. It's like your mind is spent and you just need to refresh. That's why I like this song because I can relate.

Ronnie was badass a through and through. Skynyrd boys were tough and got into fights regularly. Drug and drink fueled, usually. Great pick! Great F#*%ing song!!!
Yeah but fishing even more so than golf is not something to spectate, it's something to share with someone. Or a group of people. And that reference at the end of the song is what makes it hilarious. I think he has a legitimate beef throughout the song but he's kind of dressing it up because he just wants to be left alone because all anybody wants to talk about is the very thing that he just got home off the road about. And this applies to anybody in any job. Man if you cook in a Mexican restaurant all day and you get home and your friends I'll come over and talk about wanting to make enchiladas and shit you're going to be pissed. But if they say hey let's not talk about any of that shit let's go fishing and relax. Fishing normally outside of a sporting context, just means, hanging out and it's okay for there to be long moments of silence and a pregnant pause, while everyone listens to all the sounds of nature and just enjoy the evening or the morning or whatever it is right? And it draws you all closer together because you're sharing something magical, which is being out in nature. It has an effect on every human being. And so that's kind of funny to say hey man if you just want to hang out and relax and we can shoot the shit about anything but what I do all the time and maybe even then once we're just hanging out relaxed, well then let's do it. It's a really cool message.

Check out some Blackberry Smoke Biz, they are my favorite southern rock band right now. They have a lot of live stuff on TH-cam, they do a lot of great covers of 70s rock songs and collaborations with other bands. Freedom Song or Like I Am from A Little Bit of Dixie are great studio tracks that I like.
Fishing is a way a life, laid back, on the water, kicking back and bagging some fish with a Buddy it’s very cool and if you don’t fish you don’t get it. Anyway the song is Great

A piece of rock and roll died yesterday. Gary Rossington, the last surviving founding member of Lynyrd Skynyrd passed, age 72.
If you remember watching Free Bird live, he was the guitarist dressed in all white and killing it!

Lynyrd Skynyrd had, and has THREE guitarists, and they are badass. Yeah, I cam imagine that coming home off the road, you just want a few days to relax with wife and kids. Ronnie didn’t mince with words, for sure. LOL.
. I am dedicated soulfully to your channel. I highly love your reactions and sharing. There's an all black punk band from 1974 to 1976 named Death that was incredible. But they never got far because of their name back then. Their first album from 1974 would have been ground-breaking for these guys. They were supposedly the first punk rock's first band. But there was a little improv, funk mixed in there. With all this being said, could you two react to their 1974 song "Politicians In My Eyes?" I sure would appreesh it. Keep up the good sounds!

I don't think you understood what he was saying the road is wearing him out and when he comes home, he wants peace of mind and quiet. Basically he's saying he's exhausted and let him rest.

Yeah, I don't like fishing either but Ronnie did. He's just saying he doesn't want to talk about the music business but is ok with talking like normal friends. Rock stars, movie stars, athletes, people tend to want to talk about the business. When you hang out with friends, you don't talk about each others work all the time because if you did, I wouldn't be around.

I actually meant to say “loved”…Skynyrd famously rehearsed for days at a time at Hell House, in the Florida backwoods and they fished about twenty yards from the back door. Ronnie wrote many of their most famous songs fishing on on the banks of the creek, including Sweet Home Alabama after Ed King showed up one morning with the riff. The boys worked on the music and Ronnie grabbed his rod and headed down to his “office” and wet his line while his mind went to work…
Ronnie was the Greatest Lyricist Ever….Please listen to what I’m gonna tell you ….Ronnie never wrote any lyrics on paper all from his head! Do your research ..I know I grew up 2 blocks from the Brothers.. Fishing is badd ass ….relaxing! Till you land that Big One…
