That was Molly Ringwald at the Al-Anon meeting in the beginning. I didn't recognize her the first time I watched it either, and she was a massive star in the 80's so she's a little before your time. She and Joel McHale are just the first two in a line of INCREDIBLE guest stars you're going to see on this journey.
Not just a massive star in the '80s, but obviously since she was the primary muse for John Hughes, all of her biggets movies were set around the Chicago area so it makes perfect sense to have her pop up on this show.
@@JeffKelly03 Exactly. Throughout the series we get tracks from ALL of John Hughes films (written & directed), Risky Business, Blues Brothers and tons of other Chicago-themed media.
reminds me of my first time working at a hotels restaurant in Florida so hectic and the people act just like this had me crying at the end of my shift for a month
WHAT?? so marcus takes syd’s onions and SHES taking her anger out on everyone??? she was being polite and nice but they kept fucking around so she got an attitude rightfully so, i would be mad asl too working with people who won’t cooperate with me. i feel like we watched two different scenes bro cuz HUH???
She was kinda being terse with them after having a bad day, so the gang took her onions for some light hazing. They were cool until she got upset Tina wasn’t listening, Carmy didn’t have her back, and she cut herself accidentally. Plus her stock got messed up and Carmy called her out on it (not her fault entirely cause Tina messed with it, but also emotionally draining). Iono, the others should’ve read her mood better but I wouldn’t wanna work with someone who couldn’t laugh at light prank if slightly upset given kitchen environments can always be a bit hectic and frustrating. She was just more upset than what the prank warranted. Plus Marcus helped her out right away and offered to assist when he could.
Here comes the Sydney can do no wrong brigade... They took her onions after she had been upset abut the brigade, cutting herself and been flippant with Marcus and Gary. Just because you think its justified doesn't change the fact that she did take her anger out on them.
Dude lmao what? “She can do no wrong brigade”??? They literally fucked around and found out. Like the whole episode is written deliberately from Sydney’s perspective to show you why taking the onions was the straw that broke the camel’s back. Pointing out that she had her reasons for snapping at them is the same as pointing out they had their reasons for pulling the prank. Like how is that saying “she can do no wrong”? Like also love how in your list of things you miss that they also did the prank after she was already deliberately sabotaged and also Carmy basically abandoned her to do the new system on her own. Also literally everyone in this restaurant are frequently much bigger assholes to each other than syd was being in this episode. Like I’m not saying she was in the right about everything, just you are very annoying about your attitude towards someone who is literally showing empathy towards a character when that’s literally the reaction the show is trying to get you to have 😂
the lake is NAWT warm in the summer sir!!! absolutely not at all! also love that rana has joined! also i've said it before but you guys absolutely need to take a field trip to mr. beef some weekend. it's so good the guys there are SO NICE you can get shirts!! and witness the amazing flow those guys have in their kitchen. it's so so amazing i can't recommend it enough. the food is great and reasonably priced as well! the pizza puff is amazing
The character development with Tina and Richie alone between this and the 2nd season...such a satisfying series! 😁 (haven't seen S3 yet lol, no spoilers please)
this episode reminds me of my first time working at a hotel restaurant in Florida so hectic and the people act just like this had me crying at the end of my shift for a month damn Fontainebleau loved my time there in the end though
I love you guys, and I've watched you for a long time... for this show... you should get more of the crew involved. It has the best acting of anything released since Marvel peaked. If you haven't actually seen what's coming, you may not know that, but take it on trust.

Rana!!!!! Love the full couch! Wish there was more!
4 is a good number. I definitely wanted Rana and/or Marketa on this as well.
I was so shocked none of them had heard about Al-Anon before. Big "Your experiences are not universal" moment for me honestly
That heart-to-heart between Carmy and Sydney was so good. I loved Jeremy/Carmy's reaction to her gotcha was perfect.
Tina is such a headache this ep😭😭😭😭

She was definitely justified in feeling frustrated and upset.
agree, don't know what went in their minds

"He's going to be like ha-ha!"
No, Pat, other people are not sociopathic like you.
Al-Anon is not alcoholics anonymous. Yes, it's confusing.
Heyyy welcome to The Bear Rana
8:07 Navi absolutely make pot roast!
8:16 Dutch Oven Pot Roast gang
I forgot how much I hated Richie and Tina in the early episodes
Guys I'm sorry, but they aren't running worse, they were always running like shit.. Mikey was 300k in debt
Realize you’re already caught up with season 1, but next episode’s a breather.
cant wait for them to react to episode 6 of each season
Always love to see people react to Tina in this episode.

Let’s get a Normie cooking series going since Chris misses working in a kitchen 😂😂
I doubt we are talking about the same level of being a chef as in this show.
Full Couch?
Aren't Y'all Missing a few members?
ah yes...all the infinity stones together
Day 1 of asking them to watch full Metal Jacket.
Your journey has begun. I wouldn’t put it past us doing it 1 day. I’ve never seen it - Suraj
I hated Tina in the beginning of the series but the show is so good in general just super chaotic. Also the restaurant is a real place in Chicago
Please watch platform 2
What is the normies opinion on gentrification?
ahh Chef Ranas on the couch finally
Watch Kalki movie
Can you gust react to “Everybody Hates Chris”?
Can you please do a react music video of Eminem ft Skylar Grey “Temporary” ?
Hmm….I wonder what the significance of Carmy asking Ebra about the tomato cans is??? 🤔🤔🤔🤔😊😊😊
You are not subtle at all.
