I first heard him around Mellow Gold. It was a while before Odelay came out. I should also mention that I'm a HUGE Beastie Boys fan. So License to Ill is OK, but my favorite album of theirs will always be Paul's Boutique. Produced by the Dust Brothers. They produced Odelay too. Hands down my favorite Beck album. Then Midnite Vultures came out. Damn. I'll ride or die with Odelay but MV is insane. It was Silk Sonic before we was anywhere near knowing who Silk Sonic was. Never listened to Sea Change.
P.S. I used to drive a Hyundai and every time anyone got in that car I used to sing (step inside my Hyundai; to myself in my head of course)

Beck is such a great musical artist. The trio of albums Odelay! , Mutations and Midnite Vultures is fantastic. Also such different albums but equally beautiful and weird.
He was touring with Arcade Fire last year and quit the tour because of Win Butler accusations. Ticket prices plummeted after he quit. Btw Sam, do you like your fellow Montrealers Arcade Fire? I like them

That’s the only beck album I like. Now I need it on vinyl. Didn’t know it was on vinyl. Oh now you mention the price, needs a reissue.

But I support you, as a fellow vinyl nerd, jealous of you (for your “job” [“job” not derogatory obviously, I wish this was my job, just chilling to new music, awesome!] and owning this record!”

She's on diamanda galas level for me but she's more electronic industrial (she also covered the topic of aids in her first album) but this one is more about war
She's very educated about music maybe you'll even buy the record after listening to it cause it is really great some of the most emotionally intense music I've ever heard
I like the second sticker more than the first but they’re both good.
