Fun fact about this song that not many people touch on, There are actually two mixes of this song! The one on the deluxe version which you’re listening to here, and the one on the original issue of the album which contains a few subtle differences like only using one vocal track, whereas on this version you can hear two at the same time and a few other subtle things
Odelay is one of my favourite albums. Each track is a real journey. It was produced by the dust brothers who also did Paul’s boutique with the beastie boys a few years prior. Also a brilliant album.
Ayyyy I requested this! Pleasant surprise to see this in my feed, even though I missed the stream. Love this song, it’s so bizarre and yet such a great vibe throughout. Cellphone’s Dead is the other song I was thinking about requesting, because it’s my favorite Beck song, but I settled on this because it’s more interesting. Glad you liked it!
I bought the Odelay album based on “Where It’s At”. This song is so quirky, but I love it. Throughout I think “oh, that’s my favorite line…no, that is”. I saw him when he did the Odelay tour. Fun show!
when i listen to beck i always think what the f is he talking about- and then i remember that there's no answer and it's just good and interesting music
Ive known Beck since Loser first debuted 30+ years ago. I hear some Beastie Boys influence on this song. Then again, Beck was likely always influenced by them.

i always loved the little trip hop break at the end.. in fact it's one of my favorite moments on the whole album

Definitely a great song!
i love the chorus. I am a broken record, I have gum on my brain.
Dust Brothers + Beck = Gold
