I would love to see a body scan that really focuses on the facial muscles as well as the "left brain, right side body and right brain, left side body" exercise. Another lovely meditation. Really allows me to settle into my body and explore. The rotating consciousness, exploring each side of the body and then diagonal massaging of breath was very nice. Thank you 🙏🏽
It's ok to practice them before bed to help you to fall asleep. However, they are actually meant to be practiced in the morning or afternoon to create a deep state of sleep in the body with a conscious awareness of meditation. You may find it more beneficial to practice in the morning remaining awake and aware.
Hey Ally, I hope you get a chance to read this! I just wanted to say I found this video about a year and a half ago, and this was the first time i was really 'able' to meditate. I've come back again and again to this and other videos of yours, as well as others on youtube, but this one remains special to me as the one that really broke the ice for me. I was wondering if you would consider a request? I really love the body scan technique, and i was wondering if you could do a 'brain scan' that is similar in concept to the bodyscan, but using parts of the brain. I realize that since most people don't take neuroanatomy courses it would have lower public appeal, but I am a graduate neuroscientist and would love the opportunity to work with you to get a brain-scan script and some images to help people visualize brain regions. I have found the bodyscan so helpful, i can't help but wonder if a 'brain scan' would be the same.
My only wish is that you would consider putting your informational chatter at the beginning in order that the listener be allowed to transition peacefully after the delightful relaxation you’ve created
