No way cp3 will finish at hs If you know something about nba steph doesn't like cp3 and steph is the guy who deciding .
Man that sucks for CP3
Love seeing the Lakers miss out on all these players they wanted 😂
Good for CP3 bcc it's not the Wizzards horrible for Warriors. Did anyone see how Steph reacted to CP3 when they played against each other. Warriors please make a move that makes sense!
This is a different nba
Never in a million years would I think CP3 would end up as Curry's backup 😭
Won't be a backup, I can see Steph and Klay moving up a position, so Chris starts as PG. I just don't think he's the type to downgrade to a bench player
@@TheMissiIenope.
I completely disagree. I think CP3 would work great running a second unit and would welcome the minutes reduction at this point in his career where he is struggling to stay healthy.

Their lack of size was the reason why they lost to the Lakers.
Not just the Lakers.. they have absolutely no chance against the Nuggets or even the young Grizzlies with this trade. Too old, too small, too slow
Nah it was Klay & Poole’s horrendous shooting & Wiggins’ injury
They couldn’t make a bucket. Poole avg 8 points. Klay shot 34% you can’t beat nobody that way. How they won 2 games is remarkable
Yeah and they just got even older...
@@jgreed5 They lost coz LA made them lose. LA defended Poole and Klay pretty good that they never had any rhythm in that series.

I agree with CB, Porzingus would been a solid addition for the Warriors and fill a need. CP3’s value is his leadership and playmaking ability, two things they have in spades so I don’t quite get this trade.
Missing Bob Myers already... 😢
Agreed. Thought it was to get rid of Jordan Poole, but it sounds like cp3 will start the next season a warrior.
I have been wanting Porzingus with the Warriors for years...
I think you're referring to Tingus Pingus
He can still set guys up well and shoot the ball well, better decision maker and passer than JP...
This Jordan Poole trade would have made more sense for the warriors if they acquired Porzingis for Poole. GS needed more size in the Front Court. Wsh should have traded Chris Paul to the Celtics since they needed a point guard. Bos and Gs did not address there real issues. Wsh has a new backcourt with Ty Jones and Poole which isn’t bad for rebuilding.
100% agreed.

GSW fans in hard denial rn.. yes, everyone wants CP3 if for the VET MIN not 30m+ lmao. this version of CP3 for 30m+ is the worst contract ever cos dude has aged an awful lot this past season and is practically a tortoise on the court. If he stays healthy in the first place, that is

@@shawnchia3611 CP3’s contract is expiring tho. They got out of a 30+ mill per year Poole contract and can at least continue the Steph-Klay-Dray chip window until the end of Steph’s career. The financial flexibility is key for them. They’ll deal with Cp3 playing a backup role
@@Geeandrezzi stop being in denial bro.. it don’t matter. Fact remains he’s earning 30m+ this season, fact remains they need youth and size and a 38yr old CP3 who has aged considerably ain’t gonna offer any so they ain’t winning anything next season with this move and curry ain’t getting younger anymore as well
I am still upset they got rid of McGee years ago. I thought he was good for them
They could have gotten Beal or Porzingus wtf
They needed to get a huge contract off the books. Beal and Prozingis have huge contracts.
also beal would have had to agree to go to the warriors and all reports point to he was only willing to lift the no trade clause to the suns
@@zhinobizhogunassassin8528 So then send Klay and Poole for Porzingis.
Unless the Warriors plan to dump this contract it’s an horrendous trade. It basically doesn’t address any of your size needs. This combined with the injury history from Chris lately plus the styles don’t match
It addresses the need for a backup PG. Poole was suppose to be that. Now it’s Chris Paul. But yes they definitely need size too. But they couldn’t get size as long as they had Poole’s bag on them.
Is Fred VanVleet still on the market?
agreed, this trade addresses nothing besides a more consistent backup pg and brings in more health/contract problems...
Horrendous? That’s a HUGE reach lol. They got out of a horrendous Poole $30mill per year contract and got CP3 on an expiring.
Agreed! Not for CP3 at 38!
I'm jus remembering when Paul hit the shimmy on Curry and now they teammates 😂
Bruh I forgot all about the fake laugh to Steve Kerr haha and now he coaching CP3 hahaha
Didn't think that the Warriors wanted to get older as a team... Good luck, old timers.

Both points are the same thing fam.

@@jujitsujuice9651Ummm no. Both points are not the same.
Not really, because this isn't a Bradley Beal situation. You're clearly selling low on him. Trading him now doesn't guarantee you money because you still have big contracts, and you are going to have to possibly re-sign Draymond and extend Klay Thompson. And all you got back is a one-year contract for a veteran point guard.
The Warriors starting 5 was still very good last year. They struggled when the bench unit came in. If CP3 can keep the bench unit even then the Warriors win a lot of those games the bench lost.
Fair point. 👍
That bench sold like crazie
@@adrianfreeman2041cp3 best chance to get a ring 😂
Yes but that's not enough to win a title.
If you are Miami, you get a single piece and hope that's enough, especially since Herro was injured.
But if you are GSW and you only hope that a better bench is what separates you from a title, I think you're missing out. They were not close.
@@12gark -- Every move isn't a move specifically made to win the title. They are steps in the right direction. They probably need much more to win the title but this improved one of their flaws and moves them closer to title contention.

I understand what Nick is saying but CP3 didn’t ask to be traded to GS, nor did he get to sign off on it (from what we know, since DC has no loyalty to him)

This is a terrible trade for the Warriors. Poole is a much more talented scorer at this point in his career. They never should have offered him a contract a year before they needed to.
If they didn’t they wouldn’t have him and be able to trade him. Better than to just let him walk off.

CP3 brings playmaking which isnt a concern for them but his lack of playoff scoring in the last few years is a detriment for this team that only has Steph as a reliable scorer
Yeah porzingus would have helped space the floor for steph and klay too. Love Looneys effort but he's not a threat offensively.
I think a big factor in this deal was CP3's contract. Next year is a jon guaranteed year, so if it doesn't work out, they can clear up that Cap space. Porzingus has 1 year left I think. But NEXT year the Dubs could trade CP3s non-guaranteed contract, and give them flexibility right?

Loved the reaction from Chris when Wildes broke the news initially 😂😂
5:20 I'm having flashbacks of the shimmy... lol
Maybe the reason CP3 never won a ring was because he played in traditional offenses where he was super ball dominant. CP3 always had to set up for others and himself. Now he can take a step back and play into the system while being able to take over the offense if things break down.
I think he will be better in his time. And it’s valuable to have CP3 teach these young players how to get open and be more effective.
And you can load manage Steph and CP3 now since both get hurt more often. Some nights Steph can have off and CP3 can carry the offensive responsibilities. CP3 can knock down big shots, and he’s still elite in the midrange. I think it will work great. Now they need to get a real rim protector.
Maybe he's just overrated af
cp3 never won a ring due to bad/inconsistent supporting casts for a player so dependent on his teammates following through.
CP3 hasn't won a ring yet cause he always either gets hurt or chokes in big moments. Setting up the offense is CP3's specialty just like it was Rondo's or Jason Kidd's.
He's a traditional point guard. He's not going to be running around screens and spot up shooting.
I can't wait to see what Poole does, lol he was feeling himself too much it's humbling time 💯
Disapointment will come coz all eyes on him he cant be open now coz they now his the only one will score unless they got a good draft pick tonight

Poor Poole got decked by green than shipped off to DC lol
“A Dwight Howard Lakers ring”😂😂😂
As a warriors fan I don’t entirely hate this. The Stephless minutes are a nightmare. If Chris pulls up that average scoring per 100 when he is off the floor it makes a lot of sense. And it could be asking Draymond to be more aggressive. But I feel that there is another piece GS is moving for to bring it together. Towns?
Who are you trading to get KAT? See they could have packaged Dray and Klay or Dray and Poole for KAT. They literally gave Poole away. I understand his contract was terrible but so is Draymond's and Klay's if you're going off last year. I think this deal was awful.
@@user-rr3fo6hy9q nah. Game would be different if pooled time was CPs free
Not sure if this is possible but we know that both teams in LA expressed interest in CP3... is this a first step to have a trade with the Lakers or Clippers for some of their size depth? Curious...
i was wondering the same thing...weird but maybe they gonna trade cp3 for some other guys
I pray 🙏 you're right because this was dumb 😭
would be interesting to see if they pack it up tho because as constructed after winning a title a year ago, and barring injuries how the lakers & nuggets (i don't count the suns nor the mavs sole runs) have had pretty much the entire western conference in a vice grip since the pandemic, just seems like there's some expiring contracts & late lottery draft picks coming soon to free up cap space for a big time free agent play.
Cp3 ain't worth nobody. Who they going to give up for him? Warriors are stuck. They trippin.
CP minus 3 is done as a starting point guard! He can't shoot, he can't play defense and he can't stay healthy!
Would be funny if the Warriors just pulled the Wizards and got him as an asset to trade him again
More likely to be true than make their team even smaller. What a weird move
@@SirGenesis206 Yeah, maybe it might even be similar to their plan with DLo, they let him play in the first half of a season but ultimately used him as a trade asset for Wiggins.
Don't think GS can trade him. There's trade restrictions for teams over the cap... he may not be tradable until well into the season.
@@gundog168 ah good point. But since they traded away that big contract with Poole, are the Warriors still over the cap?
I agree with both Brou and Nick, but there's no bad 1-year deal in pro sports. If CP3 doesn't contribute or can't fit in, he will be traded or waived. Trading Poole for a couple role players means they'll still hit the 2nd apron. Trading Poole for picks is obviously the best outcome but there's probably no taker. The W's did what they had to do, CP3 was the best option left.
There are dozens of BAD 1-year deals!!
you missed the point of this trade. The warriors clearly want to contend for a title during steph's prime. They no longer care about young players that can't contribute (poole) and they don't care about picks. What's bizarre is they let the celtics get porzingis, and he's the EXACT type of player they could use playing the 5 next to draymond cuz he can space the floor unlike looney. Getting CP3 makes no sense unless he's a glorified 6th man for them playing 20-25 mins per game or something.
Trade for who?
No.. CP3 is useless.. absolutely useless for the warriors. There has to be more moves coming.. or this makes absolutely no sense
@@mambaASI Clearly they feel comfortable with Looney, I'm sure Wizards offered Porzingis to all 29 teams and Celtics' offer(s) were the best. Like Nick said, no one knows if Dubs will hold on to CP3, they may flip him later, it gives them all the flexibilities in the world. I agree with you and everyone on the panel, winning a title is their highest priority. I only mentioned picks because it's a way to get off Poole's contract and go below the 2nd apron.
Chris Paul will certainly help with Golden State’s size problem…by making it worse.
CP3: Mannn I Guess winning a ring is Everything....LOL
“Good stats Bad team, that’s his destiny” LMAO so true !
Will say , Poole was turnover machine. He definitely lost us some game's this year for sure with the crazy amount of TO in the last 2mins of the game. JP turned into a Westbrook Lakers situation where all his boneheaded shots and atrocious turnovers killed the vibe and all momentum and led to the worst road record in ball
I agree he can help develop except for the fact that cp3s “leadership” is alot of barking at people when he’s the one playing bad majority of the time. Hes not bringing that energy into golden state and thinking anyone is listening. Cp3 is a loud mouth that needs to check his attitude and flopping ways or will sit on the bench for the warriors. He’s not even a starter on this team he better not come in with that goofy energy when he hasn’t even gotten close to winning a ring ever.
It's a horrible trade. They got older, slower, smaller, and more injury prone. They gave away a key asset for nothing. If it was to free up cap space for next year well Steph doesn't have much time left in his prime, we don't need guys next year we need guys right now.
Nick bring up a super interesting point, maybe they shipped Poole just to get Green sign a cheaper contract.

Horrible trade! Poole should have been Curry's replacement. Now you get an older, broken down player who MUST lead the team, when GS was a freestyle team, not a structure one with a set PG. Isn't Curry supposed to be the PG? More proof that Kerr does not know what he is doing when forced to do something.

GSW during charity work for CP3. Definitely doesn't make that team better.
What time does this show come on now? It used to be like 6am-9:30am
I don't think this trade is as bad as it looks on paper for GSW. 6th man CP3 holding 2nd unit together is extremely valuable in the play offs.
Crazy never thought this would happen. Some weird pairing over the years that you wouldn’t think it would happen.
Why does everyone think CP3 will suit up as a Warrior? That trade was simply to get Poole off of the books..
they did this because they couldnt trust poole to step in for steph during his rest, and this is a salary dump. this is great
Thank you. Chris go head and get your ring.
"This ain't 2014 no more."
This is the perfect move for the young guys who have been struggling. Chris will run the 2nd unit set up Kuminga and Moody to get easy buckets and allow them to grow as players.
Why is wildes audio lower than Nick and brou?
Ayyyye Kuzz an pool might be a cool duo to watch
only thing i see here is if they wanted someone on the clippers? and the only way todo that is get CP3 first cause the clippers might’ve not been able to take Poole contract or even wanted him?
That last take about Poole was 100% accurate 😂 he is destined to be on a bottom 5 team getting his numbers 😂
It was all about the second level of the salary cap for the following season
I remember it worked well when they had Shaun Livingston coming off the bench. Could have started for most other teams but chose to come off the bench… I see CP3 filling that role perfectly
Money wasn’t the problem for GS. It was Poole and Draymond beef the entire season that was the issue.
