I'm halfway through my XS turbo kit. FMIC is on and headlight area is cut. All I need to do is the scary stuff like drilling and tapping. I'll be closely watching your videos to try an aid me through this self build. And for how scarce the info is for is300 fab/NA-T I find it VERY useful, thank you for sharing!
Thank you bro, I’m trying my best as well bc this is my first time doing this kinda of stuff and like u said there isn’t many in-depth videos out here on what goes into the na-t build
Nice. I would run the feed line behind the block.. the extra distance wouldn't effect anything and it would end up cleaner looking. PTA if you gotta replace it
This a good vid. Like how u show everything too, you have good content. Keep it it b and you u alright 👍🏽.
Thanks im trying as im learning too, its a slow process but im making great progress
Heat wrap and heat shield your manifold and fireproof sleeve for the feed line
Alright will do 😎 thank you
Love seeing the progress. Keep it up bro.
Thanks man im almost there
She coming together clean as fuck. Can't wait to see her running!
Saaame bro and thanks, its easier than I thought honestly just takes time
@@tagallstar yessir. Not bad at all. Just gotta make sure everything is properly installed
i see you drilled and tapped for the oil return but you didnt take off the oil pan to remove the shavings. i also noticed you didnt use teflon tape on some of the oil adapters. youre probably going to see some leaks playa
Sure didn’t, gonna flush the engine best i can
@@tagallstar
take the pan off and remove clean because the shaving arent going to flush out like you may think.
The turbo looks like it's in the way for the lower radiator hose. Also, why did you tap the oil pan with the engine in the car instead of doing it outside the car so you could easily drop the lower pan to clean it out really well?
I wanted to see if The turbo could fit in the car with the manifold I was running. And it actually clears the radiator hose. But definitely could’ve done it before reinstalling the engine
if that was journal bearing turbo then you installed wrong oil feed turbo flange as yours was with restriction hole which is meant for ball bearing turbo. You want all the AN3 or AN4 hose flow and proper drain for journal bearing turbos
Thanks for the info man, but I never used that turbo or finished the project. The Is300 will stay NA for a while
Hey mate, do you by any chance have all the links saved for the oil setup?
Yes give me a sec to get em but I think most of them don’t work anymore
@@tagallstar absolutely no problem if you don't have all the links or they don't work but thank you very very much
@@masteroogway6199 yeah they don’t work anymore, sorry bout that and you’re welcome bro
Yo. I saw ur video from Piedmont drift. I just moved to greensboro and am about to start a gs300 build. Can u recommend any shops in the area?
To be honest I don’t know any because I stay in South Carolina. The only shop I’ve recently seen is Trinity motorsport in Aiken South Carolina. The owner specializes in miatas and mustangs at the moment but he can build any car if you ask. What kind of work are you looking for
Whats the manifold brand! And how much can it hold !?
Its an OBX racing sports turbo manifold, and I have no clue how much power it can hold because I haven’t completed my build do to maintenance issues
Sorry bro your engine is not going to last long😬. But can help you go the correct way😁@50/50 garage
It might it might not, imma run 5psi on it. Im all ears for tips and tricks
Any updates on this build??
Yeah the update was that I’m postponing the turbo build due to life situations, so I’ll be drifting the car stock after i get it running. Then eventually I’ll return to this build.
You going to use the stock ecu?
Yes with o2 wiring splice
do you have the link for the T fitting?
Yes i got you bro www.ebay.com/itm/Oil-Pressure-Sensor-Tee-1-8NPT-to-Adapter-Fitting-Turbo-Supply-Feed-Line-Gauge-/153160862636?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m46890.l6249&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0
What turbo manifold did u use
It was an OBX log style manifold
what turbo manifold is that
Its an obx t4 turbo manifold, its a bottom mount
How many psi can the 2jz-ge handle??
Safely it can handle 8psi any more than that you’ll hurt the motor eventually
@@tagallstar ohhh thx for the answer
@@hammzm You’re welcome
