Lo strepitoso barocco italiano, in questo caso rappresentato da Alessandro Marcello superbamente interpretato da Andrea Mion. La scuola veneta e partenopea furono fucine di inarrivabili genii musicali che tutto il mondo ancora adesso ci invidia.

Much as i love (and play) the piano transcription of the adagio from the d minor concerto, it just cant be given the “cantabile” of the oboe, even by any genius pianist. Such a beautiful rendition of an utterly knock-out movement in the whole of baroque music. Remind anyone of Moricone?! Thank you!!
It is a GREAT pity that these records are no longer available. I do wonder if Marcello was not a better composer than Benedetto, who wrote and excellent and satirical book 'il teatro alla moda'.
I like Alexander Marecello oboe works very much . They are so melodic music, but this recording in the studio was not that clean which i expected to listen to. Thanks for uploading
