    We bought the townhouse we were renting as it foreclosed. We love it here! We just paid our first full year this month and we are acclimated to the community, schools, etc. We bought on one income, so when I get a job, we will reno the interior. We plan on staying here for the long-term.

    We just bought a townhome. Just because we loved it. And the price we paid was comparable and equal to the single family home prices at the time. So it seems affordability is no longer a factor when it comes to these type of homes.

    Good vid, but price wise, the townhomes are equal or more than the single family homes!

      Not true. We pay 1900/month for every single monthly cost associated with our home. Everything. Single family homes are definitely more expensive right now, unless you've had the mortgage on the SFH prior to the crazy market we are seeing now.
      The rental market for similar homes to our home prices them at an average of 2100 or so excluding utilities. I've even seen 2500/month!

    Is townhome a good investment to buy in edmonton? Or there value doesn’t appreciate much?

  • @Sirach144

    I don’t regret it, but I chose a condo over a townhome, but I do wish that I owned the land that it was sitting on just because I don’t want some investor coming and buying them all up and kicking me out and I’ll just have to start all over again.

      I’d be shocked if that scenario you’re suggesting would happen. Have you seen that elsewhere? An investor buying up primary residences of a whole building? I haven’t. I’ve seen an investor buy individual units of a smaller building like an 8 plex to eventually own the whole building, but not like what you’re suggesting.

    • @Sirach144
      @Sirach144 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ChamberlainGroup I’ve seen it in Chicago and down south in Florida. It generally happens when the upkeep on the building will be too costly for the people to pay for.

      @@ChamberlainGroup I don't think it was properly maintained in the fall. If there had been enough snow to prevent maintenance all winter, it would also have prevented growth. The present growth would not be looking like it was dead in the desert if there was enough snow melt to water it.
