Those that say "we're done with the 90s" are LeBron Stans that have ran out of the made up BS they use to discredit Michael Jordan. It's pathetic. Jordan is the GOAT.
Take note 8:44 of MJ congratulating Isiah Thomas and the Pistons after they lost in the Eastern Conference Finals. MJ did that both years The Pistons went on to their back to back championship run. When MJ SWEPT the Pistons the following yr that’s when Isiah Thomas led the Pistons off the court early to not congratulate MJ. That disrespect right there was the whole reason MJ will never squash the beef with Isiah Mj accepted the Jordan rules and the beat downs, but the disrespect of not shaking his hand after he did it for the pistons two yrs in a roll was the last straw.
You hit the nail on the head with the "hustle and heart" comment. When it comes down to it, that's why MJ fans are so passionate about him. Because every game it always felt like he gave us everything... he never let us down in that regard. Yes, we were all amazed by his athleticism, his incredible hands, his 48" vert, his speed, toughness, strength, quickness, competitiveness -- all that. Yes we were captivated watching him win championships, Olympic medals as an amateur and as a professional, etc. But the reason we love him so much all these years later, it was his heart.
Facts facts those piston days he kept getting up and battled with all of them remember he was the focal point everyone was on him and he still was coming and coming at them that people that hates him became fans
Fellow long suffering Clevelander, I think I’m officially “long suffering” since I’m an old man now, born in ‘86. Growing up in the 90s it’s hard to even describe Michael Jordan. Even tho I was alive during his title run, and remember him stealing every sports headline after his dad, the retirement, baseball, and the comeback. Even tho basketball was my favorite sport, I actually UNDERrated MJ bc he honestly was more of a celebrity than a basketball player. And I was too young to actually analyze and appreciate what he was actually doing to gain that level of fame. And after 2016 I honestly had Lebron as the best player ever. And ironically, me wanting to say “Lebron is the GOAT” is the reason I decided to go back and watch MJ, I mean, my memory of MJ was basically the same as someone your age, I remember all the highlights and Michael Jordan as a brand. He was, to me, the most famous athlete during a time (pre-internet) when fame was consolidated to an elite few. And I knew he always beat my first and still favorite all time sports team, the Mark Price Cavs, basically erasing those great Cavs teams from historical memory. So my intent was never to become a “Michael Jordan fan.” But, that’s exactly what I’ve become the last few years. IMO, if you’re making an honest effort to go back and OBJECTIVELY compare MJ to other players, most specifically LeBron, the more you research, the more impressive the stats, and accolades, and accomplishments get. With LeBron, it’s the opposite, TBH. I mean, even 2016, the happiest moment of my sports fandom, is not AS impressive (for Lebron specifically) as it’s made to be. Not that it’s not impressive, but #1 Kyrie deserves at least half the credit. Lebron got outplayed by his man in game 7 and gave up 38pts on 78% to Draymond. AND he had 5 turnovers in the first half alone. Kyrie was outplaying the reigning MVP and Kyrie is the one who ended the scoring drought with his game winner. #2 That team obviously was not quite as good as their regular season indicated, they lost as many games in the playoffs as the entire regular season. If they would have ran through the playoffs up to that point (I.e. ‘96 Bulls who lost only 1 game in overtime going into the finals) and THEN came back from 3-1, it would be a whole different story. But we almost didn’t even play them had OKC not choked away the previous series. But Lebron fans will still call them “the greatest team ever!” based on a regular season where they clearly overachieved. I mean, no one questions that the KD Warriors were a superior team to the “non” KD Warriors, but those teams never even won 70 games #3 Doesn’t matter how good that Warriors team was, winning 3 games in a row is not nearly as difficult and does not cancel out winning 3 championships in a row. Everyone who’s ever been a champion in professional sports will tell you it gets exponentially more difficult to win it again the next year. It’s harder to stay motivated, easier to become complacent, and the target is on YOUR back. I mean, Lebron had a STACKED team and was extremely fortunate Ray Allen hit that shot to win his only back2back, but then got thoroughly curb stomped by the same exact Spurs team. But, Lebron fans will tell you, the Spurs were an all time great team, and they were (even with an old Tim Duncan)…never won 3 in a row. Same with the KD Warriors…never won 3 in a row. In fact, not since you’ve been alive (you said you were 22, right?) has ANY professional team won 3 championships in a row…MJ did it twice…with an entirely new roster except for Scottie Pippen. I’m not joking when I say I could write a 15pg thesis paper on why Michael Jordan is the best ever, as might be obvious from the length of this comment alone….But anyway, if you’re running out of MJ videos there’s some other athletes from that era who kinda get forgot about but, I mean MJ is the ultimate megastar but there’s also an elite handful of “Tier 2 Megastars” from that pre-internet late 80s-early 90s “golden age” of celebrity. There’s Mike Tyson of course, I’m sure he’d get some views especially right now, but I’d say probly Ken Griffey and Wayne Gretzky were on that level, and the only other guy who I feel like ppl forget about these days is Bo Jackson. And Bo is really interesting bc his “megastardom” was still on the rise when he was cut down in his prime, his athleticism was MJ-esq, and was certain to be a HoFer in two sports, possibly even “one of the best ever” is two different professional sports…BO might be a good search for new videos
What amazed me the most about Michael was he had all the athletic gifts and still worked his ass off. There are so many gifted athletes who don't put in the work because of their God given talents. Then you see the ones who don't have as much talent, but work their asses off to be the best "they" can be. Michael was blessed athletically but still put in the work...every day! And that's what put him so far above all the rest.
I appreciate your reactions, in fact, I love it... you're not biased with your opinions and I can see your genuine appreciation for MJ's greatness. Truly, I thank you for that. Kudos to you and your channel.
As a born and raised Chicagoan of 55+ years of age I will say, for the first time the city of Chicago wasn't spoken of as a violent blight on the country during those Championship years...We were Champions! Michael Jordan not only elevated himself, his teammates, the organization, the league, the sport of basketball across the globe but also a City in desperate need of a makeover from the westside to the northside young black men without many role models now saw him wear suits and ties to press conferences and speak with authority and grace night after night, He truly is and always will be the GOAT to us in the Chi.
My brother I love your reactions cause you're very humble about it and very wise👍 Michael was and is to me the best two way player on that basketball Court and the closest to Michael was Kobe but Michael being on a Class of his own, you're doing a great service with your reactions, love you my brother ✌️
The GOAT plain and simple. The one thing that young Lebron fans don't understand is this...Those of us who watched Jordan's career WANT to see someone be better than him! I truly hope before I leave this Earth that I would be blessed to see such a spectacle again in my lifetime.
MJ is the overall perfect player everyone could imagine to be. He is so elite like no other. That’s why when you hear or even say his name Michael Jordan.
I'm glad you got a championship for your city but you have to remember that that Warriors team even though they won 73 in the regular season they lost nine games in the playoffs where is the Bulls 72 win team only lost one or two games in the playoffs
And, obviously, the Bulls won the chip. After winning 72 games the Bulls printed up merch saying "it don't mean a thing if you don't win the ring." It's actually kinda embarrassing to win 73 games in the regular season and then lose in the finals... 😬
MJ is the overall perfect player everyone could imagine to be. He is so elite like no other. That’s why when you hear or even say his name Michael Jordan.
Have you had a chance to look at the Michael Jordan defensive videos? I would suggest those if you haven't as well as a new idea maybe look into white chocolate Jason Williams who played with Randy Moss in high school
Just to be clear... In the locker room after the 3rd Chip, Bob Costas asked Jordan about retirement, and if he could step aside with this streak intact, and MJ said "NAHH...My love is strong for the game so I'm gon be here." The following month his father was murdered.... Jordan wasn't even 30 and had already won 3 Rings, 3 MVPs, 3 FMVPs, 7 Scoring Titles, 3 Steals Titles, a DPOY, 7x All Star, 7x All NBA First Team, and 6x Defensive First Team honors. So he needed to step away from the game to re assess what was important to him. And one thing that was clear, is that MJ's father always dreamed of his son playing pro baseball. And that's why MJ went out for the Sox. For no other reason. Not cuz he was tired, not cuz he was fed up of the game... Cuz he was torn up about losing his father.
What folks who didn't see it don't understand is how he won those rings. All they had to do is stay within 20 points going into 4th quarter and Mike would be Mike. When he goes into that mode it's defense and offense. That famous clip of him switching hands against the Lakers was his 13 straight bucket bucket. No game 7 in finals. When in that mode the other team would catch hell just getting past half court

Great video reaction, now that being said I have to ask you to re watch the first video you made and see how your thoughts have changed about MJ. Some reflection is needed I think and i wish others had such an open mind you have. Now what do you say about people that think Lebron is better than MJ? Why do you think people today cant see just how great Michael Jordan was? I'm 56 and watch his play during his career and we were all shocked each night he played, it was clear what we were seeing, never questioned him or his greatness. Now what do you think about all the shows showing him disrespect for shock value or money? Michael Jordan #23 is the GOAT and the NBA should retire his number. I also think any current player wearing the number 23 needs to at the start of their next game publicly apologize for wearing it and remove the Jersey at center court. Thats a bit over the top, but I think it is deserved.
