What made Nike and the Jordan shoe blowup was Michael Jordan’s incredible play on the court every night you never knew what great move he was going to do that was special
I took off work to go see this movie, and loved every minute of it. I'm not a "shoe dog", but I was in Jr high and High School in the 80s, so this movie....the soundtrack, the tracksuits, the totally 80s vibe. Also, I was familiar with the story, so I knew what I was getting into. It was just so much better than I expected. So far - fave movie of the year. (And I cried 4 times during Guardians Vol 3. Lol)
It's right up there for me too! I knew I'd like it, just because of the content being covered. But I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Definitely gonna watch it a few more times!
I lived most of my life in Beaverton, and ran the perimeter trail around the Nike Campus a lot during my 20s. It’s funny how much of Oregon’s economy is propped up by Nike, Intel, and Boeing’s footprint in the Portland Metro Area.
@@PhilipManzano if you’re in the area (158th and Walker in Beaverton off of the Bethany Exit for Hwy 26), the Tualatin Hills Park and Rec department has a massive 25x50 indoor pool with diving platforms there. The Tualatin Hills Nature Park (140+ acres of trailed woodlands) is also nearby.

AW! You skipped over the part where Jordan's agent is blowing up at Sonny? That's the best part!
😂😂😂
Hahah. Yeaaah that was a tough one to leave on the cutting room floor. Hilarious part though.
Probably because of all the swearing and how it can affect monetization. Still a funny scene and still a great reaction.
As someone who grew up in Portland, and loving the Blazers. This movie stung a bit with all the Sam
Bowie comments lol
Haha I can imagine! 😩
It's true about I Have a Dream speech.
That’s wild!
I love the beginning song lol Dire Strait
Michael Jordan earns 5% of gross on each Air Jordan Sold.
That’s wild. Haha.
Success is always a matter of some luck and timing. Nike was sooooo lucky to sign MJ. What a steal! Best deal ever, for both sides.
You've GOTTA watch tetris next!! it has the same vibe but much more of an action movie and thriller
That's actually been on my list for a while now. haha. We might dive into that soon!
@@PhilipManzano That's perfect!! Also, just watched the Ted Lasso finale, can't wait to rewatch (through blurry eyes) with your reactions 🥲

Would definitely love to check it out one day. Lived in the PNW for 5 years and never made the trip 😩

You see, the percentage part of the deal never happened before this. This changed everything. What a great deal maker Michael's mom made.
Fun movie
In 2020 Mike has earned 1.3 billion from jordan shoes
👏👏👏
An interesting story and well-made film but it's no Moneyball or The Big One.
Here's an interview with Phil Knight from The Big One and it kinda takes the shine off of those shoes. th-cam.com/video/qfQzAbpdH_U/w-d-xo.html
Yeah I feel you. Moneyball was a masterpiece. I feel like I rewatch that every few months haha.
@@PhilipManzano Same. I also have cycles of watching The Dawn Wall and The Big Short.
Every time I watch the reaction for this, movie they skip the opening stop doing that
You mean the opening credits?
