  • A small community of Kurdish people who live close to the border between Iran and Iraq are called Qadiri Dervishes - or followers of an ecstatic mystical cult of Islam. They practice unusual manifestations of faith like having electricity passed through their bodies, eating glass, handling poisonous snakes and skewering their faces, following their leader Sheikh Hussein - the person who they believe is a manifestation of Allah.

This is definitely a cult. And a strange one at that. I like the guy who was yelling and screaming and waving his arms around . And I thought it was pretty funny that he doesn't really know the exact age of his bride he said hey anywhere between 15 and 20 and that's a good age to start. Not everyone person develops at the same rate, and I think that's probably why he assumed as being aged of between 15 and 20.
