Finally going to get my Crohn’s screening done after watching this. I’ve had severe IBS symptoms along with gluten intolerance since I was a child and I learned to just “tough it out”. It has now gotten to the point where I have very few normal days where I’m not in some kind of pain or discomfort. And there’s been days where the pain has taken me to the ground like I’m giving birth. I’ve started taking some medicine for intestinal spasms to help with the acute pain in my colon, but yes GI issues are unseen, but debilitating if they go on for years. I originally thought my current issues where caused by a punctuating kidney stone, but after the removal of the stone, my left flank pain came back and that’s when I was told to see a GI to get a colonoscopy. Crohn’s and IBD of any kind can cause nutrition malabsorption in young “healthy” adults, and can result in things like kidney stones and gallstones. Don’t minimize your pain people! Get some insurance and get checked. I went months not knowing what was really wrong, and ended up taking medicine and supplements that made it worse.

The clindamycin didn’t give you cdiff!! Clindamycin made your body hospitable/ made you at risk to CATCH it from your environment. Cdiff lives all around us especially in hospitals. 😮

I am 73. I keep getting c diff from antibiotics. I’ve been sick again and suspect I have it again. So so sick, it’s horrible. Chills, body aches, stomach cramp, diarreah, I feel like I’m going downhill. Did you get really sick in general from c diff. Extreme body aches, very sick digestive stuff, chills, headache, etc? I’m scared I’ll never get better..bon

I've done Vanco and Dificid, both didn't work, im very worried at what to do next. The doctor wants to try Vanco taper but Im afraid it wont work. I just rather go straight to FMT

Thank you for your Story. If only more people would share vs. hiding the true fact of something embarrassing as "poop" to talk about. I was diagnosed early this year. I was visiting my mother in a nursing home. Talk about the saying "I brought you in to this world and I can take you out". I'm trying not to be so cold but the pain and hurt is so real. I rather have not known how I contracted the disease. I have just finished on my second round of Vancomycin, and I am 59 years of age. I have two more weeks before I can get into see the Gastroenterology. I'm trying to stay positive but it is becoming difficult. I go into health care and I feel unclean and dirty especially since it came back. One thing that I am trying to do is work on my good gut biome. Probiotics are good and all but focus on more of prebiotics. I have made fermented garlic with honey and Elecampane tea from roots and eat the roots as well. Three times a day, to help promote the good health in the gut. I haven't made the announcement yet of this disease but hope to soon after I see my Doc in gastro. You dont get C diff from an antibiotic…you ingest C diff spores from public restrooms or restaurants or hospitals. Its an opportunistic bacteria. So if you have C diff spores in you, when you take any antibiotic, you kill off all bacteria including good and thats when C diff thrives since there is no more good bacteria to keep it in check. So not everyone will get sick if they take Clyndamicin or any Fluoroquinolone nor Cephalosporins unless tbey have C diff spores already in them. I had undiagnosed C diff for more than 10years. I was 18 when I started with Symptoms…Doctors kept gaslighting me and sent me to psychologist and psychiatrists and kept telling me it was ibs and that I was a hypochondriac. etc. After 3 sinus surgeries which I had to get because the C diff caused sinus after sinus infection and the gerd, I was prescribed tons of antibiotics and the C diff thrived! Took me 4 years to get rid of it and no antibiotic was working. FMT didnthat Job.

I hope you are still doing well. My NET (Carcinoid) has returned after 10 years. I had surgery to remove 6 NETs. Thought that was it. Have they offered you a PET CT with Dotate?. It is the best test available to detect NETs. My oncologist has been ordering this test for the last 5 years. 4 year in a row my old insurance carrier denied the test and told me to get a CT instead which is useless for NETs. New insurance compamy this year and they approved the test. Carcinoid is back. Its probanly been back for about 4-5 years. According to the test it hasnt metastasized anywhere else (Atleast its not detectable) I have surgery coming up in a few weeks. ** Ironically my Oncologist told me that if the test was clear my visit in February would be my last. Now im gonna be seeing him for another 10 years. Please stay on top of this and make sure you get all your tests.

Thank you! Nice to meet you! What is the most important thing to tell my gastroenterologist? My pain is from my upper gi tract to my butt. During a flare up I sometimes feel intense pressure down there cramps diarrhea body aches , almost like everything is on fire. It’s debilitating. I am not able to get up, however laying in bed I still have so much pain. My heating pad helps. I can be very isolating. I have had a colonoscopy with gastroscopy they found a large suspicious flat polyp that I had removed later by someone more skilled . I will return to my gastro to discuss this further. Right now laying in bed all I can do is hug my dog. Hugs to everyone who suffers. I had my first cancer sore two weeks ago. This has been very informative. Thank you 🙏 from Canada 🇨🇦

Sorry about Ibd and cdiff diagnosis I’ve been in some boat since 2019 chrohns disease sucks, constant fatigue, diarrhea, fistula four of them, iron deficient and recently the current naturalopath im seeing determined that I have an infection raging in my intestines and butthole long sorry story short the herbal cocktail and charcoal protocol doesn’t seem too be working yet so in 2 months time it might be back too the drawing board.

Hi, Ira.Watching your video really gave me courage to come out with my crones and ulcertive colitis. I was first diagnosed with crohns and ulcerative colitis when I was seventeen years old , january of twenty twenty three 1 years ago and now i'm eighteen years old , so 2 years ago and my symptoms were loss of appetite tired all the time. Lesions that were purple reddish Looking, they were on my face, my legs, the bottom of my feet, on top of my feet my armpit and my mouth. Blood in my stool. The scars really hurt myself. Esteem, because I don't feel pretty with my scars on the outside of my body nor on the inside of my body, it really does discuss me that I have those scars on the inside of my body. I had a colonoscopy March 2024 on the 14th. And they said I look good during my endoscopy and my colonoscopy. But the doctors want me to take treatment which I don't mind, but it is really hard to have a terminal disease. Because you have to have to get your mind in a certain mindset to where you know. You can beat this thing even on your bad days and I'm being honest. I've had more bad days than I have good honestly and? I need to stay close to Christ cause I know that he's my rock and my redeemer. And my very best friend and my healer? And this disease really affected me more than what it was supposed to. And that's what's the worst part about it and my real name is Samantha. And people say Samantha's are smart, attractive, funny and kind and honestly , don't feel attractive at all. And it's really hard to live up to your name when you have scars on the outside of your skin, which don't make you very attractive in my opinion. And I don't like having to wear long skirts and hide my legs and stuff. Because they are scarred basically and I have a scar on my cheek and I don't like that and I do get out in the sunlight and try to get sun to my legs and my skin and put coc butter on them to bribg color back and everything. but your story really did help me. And cause I really thought I was the only one you know, when you go through something you think you think you're the only 1 and that tends to make you angry but? To know I'm not the only one that had a severe case of the disease.Really does make me feel good and it doesn't make me feel like it's entirely my fault that I have ait yk.❤❤

THANK YOU for making & sharing this video… we all know how hard it is to discuss this stuff and how welcome it is hear an actual human speak from a shared experience instead of just that cold and clinical doctor medical-speak. This disease and its treatment makes me feel so untouchable, so separated from other humans and humanity. It kills my spirit even as its killing my guts. Doctors can't really treat the isolation or shame C.diff produces, or hand out injections of courage when needed… just hearing that I'm not alone is so good right now, when all doctors can offer is medicine… don't get me wrong - love my doctors & care teen BUT they are all on the other side of shared human exprtornce. I have ibd, recurring sibo, and autoimmune issues..and have zero care atm besides the urgent care I went to. How do u know when u need to be hospitalized? I'm still running to the toilet at least every hour. 2 days ago it was every 5-10 mins alllllll day and into the next day. I'm on antibiotics for it but it's really really uncomfortable/painful and I'm so swoolen.

I was just diagnosed today after dealing with what seems to be mild symptoms since December. Bubble guts, the diarrhea 2 to 3 times a day. I’m actually going to pick up my prescription of vancomycin. Any advice? My diagnosis came after taking clindamycin or however ya spell it as well.

I got c diff about a year ago it was recurring,and my stomach has never been the same, i definitely have post infectious ibs now , i changed my diet to whole foods only and it has helped , i ended up having a FMT to clear the recurring c diff infection, but man my body has never been the same , it is a nasty nasty infection that messes you up. I got ulcers in my colon from it and it has been a battle tested year for sure just trying to recover from it still . I was in a bad place mentally also because of it , i am better now , but wouldn't wish this on anyone . Have a great day everyone GOD bless

Hey I was diagnosed with one of these tumors I tried to reach out to you

I have NETS. I had a major resection in March 2021 after I requested to have a pill camera procedure done during my endoscopy. If I hadn't had the pill camera procedure done they would have never found the main tumor in my small intestine (which actually was an obstruction). I ended up having over 70 grade 1 NETS removed from my small intestine and liver. Please advocate for yourselves and ensure the doctors listen to you.

Neuroendocrine tumors are very tricky. I too am a net patient diagnosed over 2 years now. It started in my pancreas then spread to liver. I had no real symptoms. Thank God he opened doors for me. Definitely see a net Specialist- I’m at MSK- NYC. started on Octrotide injections which I still do monthly. Then did PRRT and it worked great. It’s all about knowing your tumor and controlling this disease. My understanding is it never goes away. There is great progress in treatments and technology. Radionuclides! So I press on.

I had c.diff for over 4 years before it was diagnosed. It wasn't for lack of complaining about my symptoms...I was put right on antibiotics. My doctor now has me on 10 weeks of prednisone, in hopes to reduce swelling in my colon from the colitis. I'm still in so much pain. This is a horrible disease!
