    FULL DESCRIPTION
    10 months ago I upgraded camera bags for me and my husband from small and flimsy laptop bags to the Peak Design 10L & 6L Everyday Slings, and ohhhhhhhh golly what an upgrade! I knew after getting a full wedding and portrait season of use with the Everyday Slings, that I'd want to fully review them because my search for on the shoulder camera bags has been a struggle.
    For starters, I'm pretty...cheap, and good camera bags are not. But after many moments where my camera almost toppled out of my bag, I knew I NEEDED to invest in safer housing. Enter in my next character flaw: being extremely picky. There are SO many styles of bags with so many different features, but none of them seemed to fit what I was looking for: close to the body, easy to maneuver with, loads of space, and good looking. Until I stumbled upon Peak Design and almost immediately became a big fan of their company and bags.
    Investing in better on the shoulder camera bags has immensely improved not only the safety of my gear, but the physical toll that a bad bag can do to the body. Yes, I do have some issues with the Everyday Sling bags, but because Peak Design is so responsive in their customer support, I know any problems will be resolved super quickly!

    I just got the new 6L and its perfect for street shooting with one extra lens and some other goodies and definitely hiking/trails as well. I can fit my a6100 in a smallrig with a Tamron 18-300, a extra Sigma 16mm, my keys, wallet, phone, and a few other things.
    If your going to be shooting professionally or needing more than one lens plus gear get the 10L for sure, but if you just want a small bag to have your essentials the 6L is the way to go. I've heard from a lot of reviewers and folks online the 3L is just too small.

    Thank you for your review, I'm just getting into Photography and I'm looking for a bag for my cameras. You sold me on the brand with your gravey story! I'm a hot mess when it comes to spilling food upon myself and or slipping into a creek with a camera bag! The companies sustainability is another reason to buy with a life warranty and a recycling program is awesome I wish more companies would do this. I also love that the 6L turns into a fanny pack. This is the first video I've watched on camera bags. Thank you for your honest review.

    Great review, Brintey! How are the straps compared between the 6l and the 10l? It seems like the 6l had too small of a strap when I tested it. Does the 10l have a wider strap? Thanks!

    Thanks. I’m thinking both getting a 6L to upgrade from the 3L.

      Ohh, that is so great to hear! I find on my 10L the strap buckle has gotten more and more useless, which may just be my bad luck! Who knows! Super glad to hear you've had no issues! 🤗 Thanks for watching and commenting!

    I have an old ThinkTank Lily Deanne Mezzo, that is very good for street photography and events. The bag is unfortunately discontinued.

    i will never understand how you guys went on with those messenger thin laptop bags. Especially when those lenses are just bumping into each other all the time. Even a 40 bucks Best Buy starter camera bag would have been better.

      I give you my review. I wore it for 10 weddings. And after an hour or 2, that crap will start sliding downwards from my waist towards my butt. The strap would just gradually have slippage and i would always find myself readjusting. Quality of bag is great. But the strap to hold it sucks.

    Would the 6L fit for canon r5 (with 24-105 f4L attached) + rf 100-400 lens + canon 430 flash? Thx.

  • @matthew_jackson
    @matthew_jackson 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Would you say this could fit a FF Mirrorless camera plus 2-3 zooms? I have a R6, the 24-70 2.8, the 70-200 4.0, the 50mm 1.8 and the 35mm macro.

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Great question! I just tested filling my 10L with my a7 III (a touch smaller than the R6), as well as similarly sized lenses to the ones you listed and I was able to fit everything! My process for fitting: in the middle compartment I laid the 50mm down on it's side, popped the foldable divider down, and then put my camera with a 35mm attached on top of the cushy divider. Then I used the left and right compartments for the 24-70mm, and a travel coffee mug that is a similar size to the 70-200mm. I was still able to zipper up the bag without struggle, so I'm going to say that it can safely and quite snuggly fit your gear! 🤗 Thank you so much for your comment and watching!

    Thanks for doing this review, Britney. I'm shooting my first wedding this fall and am looking at the 6L Peak Design Everyday Sling and the Moment 6L Rugged Sling - both because of being able to wear them around the waist on the day. Did you give any consideration to the Moment bag at all?

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for watching and for your comment! The Moment bag did not hit my radar at all, not because I wasn't interested but just because I hadn't heard of it until your comment, haha! I'm a little glad I didn't know about it because that could have made my decision making even harder :P!

      No, 11 inch is fine.

  • @johnnychin4777

    Somme reviews say the opening flap keep stay close which prevent you to access and changing gears easily, is this happening to you and do you mind about that?

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for your comment! Interesting! I haven't had an issue with the flap staying open, although I do bend it back a little, so it stays more open. My biggest issue, and one that has only gotten worse, is the strap not holding in place when I lock it into position. It's gotten so bad that making any adjustments doesn't even matter because the strap will just slip back into fully extended. I've been putting off contacting Peak Design, but I think now it is necessary. Thanks again for your comment!

    I just picked up the 3 and 6L and can confirm they’re both extremely small.
    After 2 weddings I can confirm it’s “okay” in terms of fitment and would suggest the 10L instead. If all you have is a the 1.8 lenses and a flash, I’d say it would be fine.
    I have a Sony 55mm 1.8, 24 1.4 and the Sigma 85mm 1.4 DG DN(small version). It doesn’t fit much else like a flash or any of the kind. 1.8 lenses would be okay though. With 4x batteries in the inside top pocket it made the bag feel even further and not much else even my “loop” ear plugs don’t fit well in there.

    • @redesignedlife777
      @redesignedlife777 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It’s not that it’s small. It’s just the fact that the padding takes up a big chunk of the space. I will be selling mine pretty soon.

    I was having heart palpitations when I saw you don't use the back cap on your glass. You must spend ages editing.

    • @BritneyClause
      @BritneyClause  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hahahaha, sorry for giving you heart palpitations! Nope, no extensive editing. When I store it after a session/wedding I do put the back caps on, and I make sure to clean my gear frequently! 🤗

    130 euro for a bag that has a clip that does not work. I'm out!! Why would u be happy with a purchase that is faulty! They obviously don't care about quality control. Thks for saving me the hassle of contacting their support. Ty
