Wow!! Tears if joy and awe while listening to this powerful story. GOD is great, and I am thankful to my Lord and Savior for giving us Dr. Ross at just the right time in our universe. :-).
Very nicely done, Dr. Ross. I'll be teaching a 3 part Sunday School series on sharing the faith next month, and I'm going to give all attendees the link to this video because it ties up what I'll be teaching with a nice ribbon and bow. Frankly, if I can talk the pastor into giving me a 4th session, I'll simply show the first 40 minutes of this video and then discuss it afterward to reinforce the main points concerning personal sharing and seed-planting.
Funny, when others share their "faith" with christians, evangelicals go wild. If that fury is "the holy spirit", no wonder people are fleeing the church.
Funny when an atheist scientist said "there`s no evidence for God" every athesit say "It`s true because a scientist say so", but when a Theist scientist claims" there are a lot of evidence in the Universe for a God" every atheist say "that scientist is wrong" hahaha...
Strawman of the century. No one has ever said "well I don't believe God because a physicist (scientist of any sort) said so or said that there is no evidence." We do say that we don't believe in God because there's nothing to suggest that he is real and no person who has posited that he does exist has shown any substantial, reliable and valid evidence for his existence, especially the one of the Bible. And let's pretend for a second that that atheist said "I don't believe in God because an atheist physicist says there is no evidence." That person who says that would be making an appeal to authority fallacy because that question is simply out of the depth because that is not what a physicist studies. What the physicist can say is that there is nothing we can point to in our field that would sugggest that the laws of physics require a god, especially given that the definition of god posited by most dominant religions is unfalsifiable as a claim.
Hebrews3: 4 "Of course, every house is constructed by someone ,but he that constructed all things is God. " 1John 5: 19 "We know we originate with God but the whole world is lying in the power of the wicked one. " 2Peter3: 13 "But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to His promise and in these righteousness is to dwell. " Matt6: 9 "Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. (Ps83:18) Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth. ...and deliver us from the wicked one ." Matt24: 14 " And this good news of God's kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. "
That is not what the Bible says. Must have the frame of reference correct. Genesis is not the oldest book of the Bible, Job is, so to understand Genesis, must read Job first. 1) Biblical Hebrew has a smaller vocabulary than English. In biblical Hebrew, there is no word for universe. Instead, the Hebrew phrase that is translated “the heavens and the earth” is used to refer to the universe-the entirety of physical reality. The phrase is used thirteen times in the Old Testament, always referring to all matter, energy, space, and time in the universe. 2) The Genesis says "let there be light", the word create is NOT in the text. Job tells us what is "let there be light". Job 38:9 when I made the clouds its garment and wrapped it in thick darkness. The cloud make it dark, Genesis 1:2 tells you the frame of reference above the waters on Earth. So the two tell use the cloud went from dark to lighter. The clear sky does not come till " moon to mark the seasons" now with have blue sky.
Genesis 1:1 says that God created the universe (including the sun) in the indefinite past. Genesis 1:2 states the surface of the earth was dark. Thereafter God said "Let there be light". Diffused light from the already-existing sun penetrated the earth's thick atmosphere and reached the surface of the earth. That was before vegetation, which is mentioned later in Genesis 1:12. When Genesis 1:16 says God "made" the two great lights (the sun and the moon), the sense is that he "caused them to appear". The Hebrew word translated "made" here is not the same word for "create" used in Genesis 1:1. In other words, God caused the sun to become distinctly visible from the surface of the earth, perhaps due to a gradual thinning of the atmosphere.
It is written, more people become evil, and evil people doing evil. This is the last days prophecy. People will not believe the Creator(GOD) more evil days will come.
This story of his does not add up. There's no way a physicist would ask the questions the way he described. Nor is there a particular way german scientists introduce themselves, the way he described. Hugh also misrepresents plenty of physics here. No, we can't directly observe the universe back to fractions of a second after the BB.
So you don't like his story so you call a world renowned PhD Astrophysicist a liar? Did you take your meds? Our eyes cannot see radio nor infrared waves. Therefore, we cannot physically “see” back to the beginning because photons could not attach to a neutron and separate from darkness for about 380 thousand years. The Universe was simply too hot. However, Radio Astronomy instruments and far infrared telescopes can get us to less than a trillionth of a second to the beginning of the Universe. Why did you need to lie? Your insolence proves that you are but a zealot to be ignored! Ignorance can be fixed through adequate education. Willful ignorance cannot be fixed because it is of an individuals own choosing. Sadly, you suffer from the latter combined with delusions of grandeur.
