    Thanks for sharing. Looks a fair amout of removal on a daily basis! I run a protein skimmer along with my sieve. Works well together.
    Lovely garden also!

    I like this but would be nice to have a catch clean out at the bottom and just hose it off once a day into a clean out.

      @@PaulsKoipond could add a catch or add another bottom drain to open up to hose out or add a drawer in the front as a catch, hose off then pull the front drawer out to dump. Or something similar

    Are you cleaning it daily? Is that free floating algae or just from green water that collects? I have the same filter and haven’t hooked it up yet. Just running a pressure filter presently.

    Hi .. nice video ..
    Could you use this sieve on a gravity fed system.. i know its pumped ..any ideas on how it can be used .. many thanks

    • @PaulsKoipond
      @PaulsKoipond  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i dont know if there is a gravity version...the trouble you might have is that on a pump fed sieve there is a overflow for when and it will gets blocked up...on a gravity version i would think that if it got blocked up then theres a chance you could lose all the pond water. sorry i cant help any more but if you do find a solution can you let me know, as this is useful info...thanks Bash and thanks for watching mate

      @@PaulsKoipond its possible.. only if u had a butterfly valve in the incoming pipe then pump it out . I seen a video what a DIY one made ..worked really well .
      Butterfly valve.. what i mean is a control valve to control the water from coming in so it doesn't overflow. Thanks

    • @themilksnatcher
      @themilksnatcher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You could use it on a gravity feed. The overflow would only let out a certain amount of water from the pond to the same level of the overflow. Problem with a pump fed system is that if it got blocked then the pump would continue pumping water into the sieve and out the overflow and would eventually drain the pond. Another thing to think about is that a pump fed sieve will get clogged up more because the pump sucks in crap and basically blends it to a pulp so you end up cleaning it out more

    Lot of insects in the sieve how do they get in with lid on

    • @PaulsKoipond
      @PaulsKoipond  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They must fly up the outlet pipe..they are not normally there but i think its a certain time of year.....they do no harm

    Hi Paul,I have the same sieve as you but mine has an overflow pipe on it,Where’s yours has it been sealed up.

    • @PaulsKoipond
      @PaulsKoipond  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      hello mate, this one does have an overflow hole but the pipe from it joins the return pipe...if i could or when i can re position the sieve then i would probably change to 2 pipes and put the overflow through another filter before the return to the main filter....thanks for watching john
