Best character ever! Connery doesn't even try to hide his Scottish accent even though he's supposed to be an Egyptian. They should never of ruined the storyline with Highlander 2, the whole planet Zeist element was dumb, I think the Old Guard movie sticks to the core idea of the Highlander story of warriors who can't die and keep living through wars and turmoil. Hopefully they are able to relaunch Highlander in the future with another actor.
And this is why there should have never been any sequels trying to explain The Game. This is truly a stand alone film and will be very difficult to top or remake.

Why wouldn’t Ramirez gather an army to take down the Kurrgan? Even if there was some sort of honor code that demanded 1:1 fighting, why could they come at him as a group, and take turns when one tired or was dealt a serious blow and needed recovery time?
Even Kurgan said to his fellow combatants to leave McLeod only to him. Nobody fought him. So it was probably the part of the code/rules and one can see in the movie they treated it very seriously.
This whole premise was absurd. No matter which immortal won the "prize", mortal man would have devoured the crumb with a Julius Caesar type assassination that ended with a quick beheading. Whatever, I still enjoy the first film but not the following two sequels. They both sucked balls big time.
