    Hey IVO . . . . nice couple of Walleye for the dinner plate - bu the main attraction was that huge jumbo monster Walleye
    that one must of made your day catching it because it would of made me day as well - nice to let it go to live for another
    day - oh by the way don't forger to call me for dinner ( lol ) good video as always .

    I’m like you Ivo the couple you caught were the perfect eating size. And the last one to release back so someone else can have fun catching it. To me Ivo when they get real big like that last one you caught they don’t taste as good to me the taste is real strong and that works for most species of fish now that’s just my opinion 👍on the video

    I'd love to get on the Niagara River some time...tough to beat Eerie for Walleye though. I went on a chartered trip when I was a kid and pulled in 33" Walleye...and it wasn't even the biggest of the day from our group. Someone nearly got the Ontario record...there was also two Rainbows of decent size and a massive female Brown Trout. And at the end of the day, the charter service returned a portion of our money because "it was a slow day and not many fish"...the live-well was stacked to the legal limit lol My grand father who took me on the charter also took my cousin about a month before and they literally were getting hundreds of fish in the boat...so compared to that I guess it was a slow day? lol They just trolled Walleye Divers way out on planer boards...seemed to do the trick.

    Hey Ivo, I get making shows then releasing them in the winter, but it would be great if you included the time of year and water temperature in the description. Also, it would be great to know what kind of anchor you use in the heavy current of the Niagara River. Even a video segment of how you anchor up in the river would be beneficial. Great video!

      Our saying is if you get a hit make sure Spot Lock is OFF. You'll lose it for sure as it will toss you off the boat. Even in calm current with both the wind and the current in the same direction...TRUE STORY.

    Ounce bounce in the D. Water levels are too high for 3/4. Hard to anchor in the Detroit cuz everyone is drifting and the current is super strong. I'm sure anchoring would work you'd just get a lot of dirty looks from people drifting.

    Nice video like usual Ivo. Just wondering how rocky that section of river is? The only limited experience I have with fishing the Maumee River in Ohio is I'd be losing a lot of those jigs because it's very Rocky.

    • @thundermistlures
      @thundermistlures  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is very rocky...key is to just touch the rocks and use your rod tip & river current to bounce you off them, and keep you out of snags - a semi-slack line (almost tight line) is important, in order to feel everything going on down there :)
