SR 34067 Tangmere Gets Looped into Grayrigg on the Northern Belle 16/9/23.

- SR 34067 Tangmere would be the motive power for the Northern Belle to Carlisle from Liverpool Lime Street over Shap with the return back down the Settle & Carlisle Line with 34067 taking over at Carnforth. We see Tangmere running under caution near Grayrigg with her then being sent into Grayrigg loop and shortly after leaving the loop at Beckfoot . The return leg sees 34067 at a blustery Aisgill . Thanks to Nige for the company and the lift today and also Paul Berry for the kind lift from my 1st location to Beck Foot .

Smart thinking to overtake her while in the loop Steve. Beckfoot worked well despite the "annoyance". Caught her working well at Ais Gill too with her trying to outdo City of Wells in the vulcano stakes. Take care - Chris

She’s like a smokey, smouldering fire compared with SNG (and A4s, A3s, etc.) why so much steam and smoke?
Do they have firing and compression/steaming problems these ‘spam-cans’? The Gresley locos seem so much more efficient to me.

Great video covering a number of locations. I went to Stockber and the wind direction did not help the photography or the videoing. Always difficult when you get the wind from the east.

Possibly was Russ as there wasn’t anything right behind the tour meaning it would go into the loop 🤷
