Cool video. But hey I wanted to know if b3k and b7k sounds same without touching preamp section? I mean can it produce same amount of heavy distortion while eq of b7k is completely flat? Please let me know. Thanks in advance.
jim claypool Yup, The Drive circuit is identical! Look at it this way: the B7k is a PREAMP with a built in distortion whereas the B3k is a distortion pedal :)
Erik Arkö thanks. So basically b7k is just a preamp with built in b3k. Same distortion character right? So if I choose different preamp with b3k what you think it will be more versatile than b7k?
jim claypool Well.. The preamp of the B7k is REALLY versatile - especially now, with the switchable mid-controls!
Let me put it this way: if I could only have ONE pedal for the rest of my life, it would be the B7k :)

Tack för denna! Köpte en B7K ultra och var på väg att göra mig av den för att jag inte lyckades hitta ljudet jag ville ha - dvs nära Ampeg. Hittade rätt med hjälp av videon - tänkte inte på att skära låg-middarna!
