Alpha Omicron is a distortion! The Vintage Microtubes has a more closed and old school sound while the B3k has a more modern sound ..and they are overdrive! All excellent pedals that do their job in an excellent way and from my opinion incomparable.

Vintage microtube! Alpha Omicron close second. Personally, I never really understood why so many people go crazy for the B3K. It's a good pedal, but in my opinion not so much better than many others on the market
Just purchased the B3K. For my needs it seems more subtle, not melt ur face. And that's how I need it. Even my Aggie TH/AGS preamp gives me too much grind. So hoping the B3K works. If not, will try the DG Vintage next. Nice presentation here.

I'm new to pedals will I still need a overdrive with omcricon pedal?? Does it go before or after the overdrive? On my pedalboard I got a noisegate and a compressor

Definetly the Vintage Microtubes because it is the most natural saturation sound of bass overdrive...love it
The Alpha Omicron to me is the best option. It has more range with both overdrive options.

My bass player has the B3K and the Vintage Microtubes. Both excellently crafted, but I personally lose my mind over the Vintage. Great video!

Its tough! Both omicon and vintage are so versatile but prob vintage is better since i want more subtly and warmth
I'm stacking a Duality with a B3K. Absolutely killer combo.
Alpha Omicron combines well modern metal, and more aggressive styles, in my opinion is the most versatile

For me B3k is the best option.
Probably prefer the Vintage of these three but all are excellent and could work well depending on the style of music.
