- New exhaust for the 86 - Mxp Comp Rs catback! I
Installation was done with two of my friends as well as myself. The comp rs gives the car a slightly deeper tone than OEM, but still retains that amazing sound without any drone.

I have this exhaust and this is exactly how it sounds with everything stock. I freaking love it.
With this pop and crack on everything stock without a tune?
For anyone with a manual brz, I just installed the comp rs yesterday. Lots of drone right at 3k and 4k, and mainly when engine breaking. The thing is, in a manual 3-4k is cruising range. Certain rpms it goes silent. Still love the sound and willing to deal with the drone. Nice vid!
Try shifting up a gear. At 30mph in 4th gear my rpm is 1.5k. Even though yours is a manual it should not be that high unless your idea of cruising speed is different from mine lol
Yeah it's no doubt related to driving style. I like to stay closer to the power pretty much all the time. But 6th gear at 80mph is around 3500 which is pretty much silent. I love the sound anyways, just have to get used to it.
@JAmes2007 Drone is that certain frequency that kinda rattles your brain. youll know if you feel it lol. and you can hear the pops on downshifts and revving. It isn't loud but noticeable

This is a great catback exhaust for the price. I bought this for my 2022 BRZ and can't wait to get it installed. Great video my guy. Thanks for the info.

Installed mine today. I’ve been stock since 2014. I’m not use to the volume it makes. I don’t know what drone is but mine sounds boomy after 3Krpm. Cold starts are mound but it cools down after warm up.
I’m having trouble choosing between this and the remark quad exhaust 😭
Depends on which bumper you get. If you do a trd rear then go with remark. If you have the same rear bumper as mine, go with a dual tip like mine
Nikolai Aksenov remark just released a quad exhaust that supports the stock frs bumper. Check it out it’s pretty dope but I can’t decide either dual or quad
Dans FRS honestly I would say dual just becuase it fits the size of the diffuser outlets. Looks a bit out of place having quads on a stock diffuser. To each their own, whatever makes you happy!!

Is this the same as the RS SS cat back?
I installed this recently but mine sounds so much louder inside the car. Sometimes unbearable. Any idea what might be causing this?
Is this catback the only aftermarket part of your exhaust? Also, if it’s a manual the cruising speed rpm is different so that may be why.
yeah the cat back is the only aftermarket. Everything else on the car is still stock. It is an automatic as well. I appreciate the response!

Hey I just installed this. I don’t remember seeing any donut gaskets did you have to put some on yours? I heard you have to take it from oem. Also mine doesn’t pop. I really don’t know why either can anyone help please
Exhaust has to be broken in for it to pop. Also if your car is newer it prolly won’t pop without cat or muffler Delete
How actually loud is this exhaust...in decibels. Bcs in my country the limit is 105db, measuring 2 feet from exhaust tips

N1 is louder and has drone from what I’ve heard. Comp rs is more of a tame exhaust

Also invidia N1 or q300?
@@katsunagire3693 invidia N1 if you want loud, q300 if you want SLIGHTLY louder than stock. If you plan on doing headers down the line, get the q300 as it wont be too noisey like the N1/header combo will be.

Im trynna decide between this and a borla catback for my brz, I want a lower grumble no drone and more stock sounding while cruising. Is this suitable?
For that, I would recommend going with the Perrin catback
I have the mxp touring86 which is very similar to stock, but it’s a little too quiet for me lol
