440 Mopar V8 Engine Rebuild Step 15- Oil Pump Check and Installation

You should completely disassemble it, its full of black machining dust, run a sanding drum into the oil passages, mine had a casting booger in the oil passage that easily broke free, would of ruined my engine. Oh and check the seat on the bypass valve, mine had a small ding that caused it to be open. 010 didn't have good oil pressure on the dyno, i couldn't see it until I used magnification

You should always use motor oil when assembling the oil pump

Don’t listen to nobody that packs and oil pump with wheel bearing grease
