This entire song is a reference to the Final Fantasy 8 main villainess Ultimecia, so that's why it sounds like video game music. Most of their music has video game, anime, literature, or fantasy references.
They're an independent band (been around for 14 years, no record label whatsoever, completely self produced), so you shouldn't have to worry about a copyright block taking it down. Shiren (growler, guitarist, composer, co-founder) has only taken down music videos that weren't released by them, but didn't take down reaction videos. He'll probably put a claim on it at the most.

Unlucky Morpheus are simply incredible. Their back catalogue is breathtaking. Fuki's vocals are stunning and the heavenly sound of Jill's violin. I will say the "M" songs are ones I find weaker imo so maybe leave them be.
Respectfully disagree. I really like all the M songs and they are among their most popular videos so I don't think that's a consensus opinion. I humbly invite LBS to consider judging them on their own merit. :)

I've been a fan of Unlucky Morpheus for a few years and they keep getting better.
1st of all Fuki in those horns is just sexy as hell. This band is simply jaw dropping good. Wait until you hear guitar and violin harmonizing solos. They are reaction friendly as they are independent. Good songs to react to are Black Pentagram, Angrifier Live, Tower of Blood and Cadaver/Revadac. Note the growling guy, Shiren was an OG Kami Band member with Babymetal.

It's funny that you say this sounds like video game music. This song is about Final Fantasy VIII, specifically the fan theory that one of the main protagonists _is_ the final antagonist. The director of the game has said that theory isn't true, but it's stuck around anyway.
The clean vocalist, the lovely Fuki, is an extremely active singer who has a lot of guest appearances, a couple of solo albums, and formed another band with the members of Gacharic Spin called Doll$Boxx. Jill, the violinist, has her own TH-cam channel and has gone live from her home studio. Once she sat and played through the entire "Unfinished" album. The harsh vocalist and guitarist, Shiren, was a member of Babymetal's Kami Band for the first appearance of the Kamis. Unfortunately, in recent years he developed a condition called tenosynovitis which is the inflammation of the sheaths of the tendons of his wrists and hands. That's why his guitar is headless (less weight) and on a stand here. When the condition is really bad, he only does vocals live and Jill covers his guitar solos. Fumiya, the drummer, used to play in Galneryus. He'll always bring the energy and reminds me of Jukka, the first drummer from Nightwish. Jinya, the other guitarist, is a badass and Ogawa, the bass guitarist, has his own channel where he plays acoustic guitar and posts behind the scenes stuff from UM. Great band.

This "Unlucky Morpheus" and "Garnerius", to which the drummer Fumiya belonged, are definitely addictive, as is "Love Bites".

UM is an amazing band. Their LIVE shows are fantastic. All members are Jedi level musicians. JILL (violin) is a real deal, a graduate of the most prestigious art/music university in Japan. If your score is 9.8 on an MV, their LIVE sets are going to be off the scale.

You were right about game influence in this song because it was made for Final Fantasy 8 , Fuyuki is cosplaying the sorceress in that RPG. Unlucky Morpheus will always be my top 3 favorite Japanese bands too ❤️🤘🎌

If I had to name the best ten bands in the world today, at least half of them would be Japanese. And I rank Ankimo (Unlucky Morpheus) right there in the top five. They are simply incredible.

They have a music video with the song Cadaver - Revadac. They play the song backwards when the song ends as the title says, tabd as subtitlesd..... 4 members of this band has a side project called Quadratum. Their videos is in Unlucky Morpheus TH-cam page. They do instrumental covers. Like EVH Eruption cover on violin!! and Dream Theatre or Racer X or.. Steve Vai or Yngve Malmsten ( correct Swedish spelling in his name ;-) ) Guitar lines on Violin! Their CD is awesome!

Another band in this same vein. In fact they shared the same guitarist. Yōsei Teikoku aka "Das Feenreich" Good starting point would be "Astral Dogma". And then the hole goes crazy deep!
