I really like it. The pick of the build for me is the windscreen- you can almost see the hand movements of the crew wiping dust from the inside in a side to side motion! Great job on an old kit. Well done! hope you enjoyed creating this as much as I did watching it.
Thank you so much for the great comment, Neil! I just took something that I have done in real life in the desert and tried to represent it in this build. I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it, and I definitely enjoyed building this old kit myself. I hope that you enjoy some of my other builds as well. Stay safe and model on my friend!!
Thanks Michael, it was a very enjoyable build, gives you a lot of latitude to make it your own! Thanks for checking it out. Take care and model on my friend. Johnny
It really means a lot to me Jared that you like this build, your such a great modeler and I follow your builds with great interest!! If I can keep stealing from guys like you I might be a good modeler one day to!! lol, model on my friend!
Thanks Rick, I'm so glad you like the project! I love older kits, mainly because they are really affordable. But they give us plenty of room to do some cool stuff! Thank you so much for watching. Keep modeling my friend, and stay safe!
excellent video my friend beatifully finnished the weathering looks great nice job on the pigments and that chain wow looks fantastic look forward to seeing your next build
Hi Johnny. Well what can I say, a brilliant job well done. I must say what you did with that chain takes the patience of a saint. I,m lucky here in the U.K. I have found a local supplier who sells 1mm link chains so I use those on my 1/72nd scale vehicles. It works well in this scale. I am yet to get the hang of pigments , I have got some but for some reason I am hesitant to use them. Don,t know why. I get good results with washes and dry brushing. I do use those Tamiya weathering master sets though. But that was a good video to watch and I thoroughly enjoyed watching you build this Dodge. Well done. I have subscribed to your channel as well. I look forward to watching more of your builds. Good luck buddy.
Hi Brian, it's an old kit but leaves plenty of room to get creative. The chain and hooks were my attempt to "fill in the blanks" on this build, it came out pretty good, just a bit fiddly though, lol. Nearly all of my builds are in 1/35 but I did do a 1/72 Sherman recently, that gave me a greater appreciation for you guys that build a lot of 1/72 armor that's for sure! Thanks for the sub, I really appreciate it my friend. Take care and model on! Johnny
Hi Vinny, this is one of my favorite builds, getting to add detail and figuring out how to navigate past little build issues. And lots of opportunities to weather and chip things! Thanks for watching, take care my friend. Johnny
Excellent job done on scratch building the chain and the winch. Great tips shared about lathing plastic parts. This vehicle came out really nice. Looking forward for your next project. Thanks for sharing Hillbilly, take care and keep up the good work my friend.
Très beau travail , minutieux avec beaucoup de détails , j'aime bien la réalisation de la chaîne , joli vieillissement des pneus bref j'aime beaucoup, félicitations..... amicalement Lionel français
Thank you LIONEL, I apprectiate your kind words. Thanks for watching my little channel, I hope you enjoy many more of my builds. Stay safe and model on! Merci LIONEL, j'apprécie vos gentils mots. Merci d'avoir regardé ma petite chaîne, j'espère que vous apprécierez beaucoup plus de mes constructions. Restez en sécurité et modélisez-vous!
I just built one of these about a month ago. I scratch built a .50 cal mount on the front bumper to give it anti-air protection to recreate an old photo of an M6. I had some problems with this kit, but I liked how the decals came with a full stencil alphabet which gave a lot of options for customization
I had issues with this kit as well, check out my build video if your curious about my issues being the same as yours. I saved the extra decals in case I need rescuing later, lol. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment, I love to hear from you guys! Take care and Model on my friend!!
