Great build, I love modifying and improving kits. Part of the enjoyment is researching photos online and really getting a insight into the vehicle in use. its quite surprising how many mistakes are made with kits.
Love the simple and practical use of thin plastic card and liquid cement for adding the seam weld details. Definitely going to try this approach on my next dated kit that needs some enhancement!
I'm glad that my video was helpful to you. And your channel's detailed tank videos are great. It's a very good resource for me who don't have the opportunity to see old tanks directly. I immediately subscribed to your channel. Thank you for your continued support.😄
@@garymoore2674 After uploading the video of part 1, I added a bolt. You can see it in the Part 2 video. Part 2 video will be posted on November 11th. Thank you for your comment.😆
@@garymoore2674 I never thought Steve Zaloga would appear! It's too much of an exaggeration for someone like me who enjoys scale models as a hobby. Thanks for the comment though. Look forward to part two.🍰
Hi, one thing you should change on your model (not to detract from the amazing detailing work) is the tracks (if you look closely the side pins do not interconnect the tracks). The tracks on this kit were intended for a motorized kit. Congratulations on a superb assembly.
It can't be helped because it's an old kit. For me personally, it's enough if I enjoy assembling, painting, and weathering work to some extent. It's a scale model that I enjoy as a hobby, so I can't spend a lot of money and buy a lot of external parts to create a perfect kit like professional modelers do. Could you please understand? Thank you very much for watching the video and for your comments.😆
Wow! I’ve seen a lot of high quality models lately… seems to be a lot of people doing these techniques (welds, steel texture, epoxy stowage, etc) but I haven’t seen a Stuart, and I haven’t seen many of this quality! Well done
Very good with plenty of detail, I watch another channel called The Nightshift, he makes his welding beads with rolled putty but your way is also good. I look forward to your painting .
Martin's process is way more accurate, I get the idea, but like this is sticking too much out from the surface, would've been perfect if he made a root for it like real welds, bot nonetheless, it's just my opinion, otherwise I love to watch these vids.
Nice build! I’m currently working on the same kit and I’d recommend replacing the .30 cals that came with the kit.. it being an older kit the ones that come in the box are pretty nasty with the raised cooling jacket detail.
Excellent build. Are you partial to using a particular expoxy brand? I had been using GreenStuff but grew weary of using it for bags, duffels, tarps, et cetera. I find GreenStuff is not as malleable as other expoxy brands.
Canteens don't magically stick to tank turrets or hulls, you need to attach them logically. The M1936 musette bag has grommets on the main flap for the wire staple on the canteen.
missing LynxDo you know if Tamiya ever corrected the rear of the M5A1?I enjoyed putting Tamiya kits in the very late 70's-early 80s and then put the hoby away until the internet and Missing Lynx came along and I became interested in accuracy in the way kits were made. The first major inaccuracy I learned about what the rear of the M5A1, and learned that the AFV Club kits provided the modeler with an accurate representation of their versions of the Stuart family. Since then I know Tamiya has vastly improved kits since the early 90s like the Panther, Tigers and Shermans, as well as retooling and making some kits that are old more accurate. What was and is a real joy is the way even the poorer representation kits fit together.
The tracks in this kit I'd replace, tamiya messed them up, the track connectors are in the wrong place, they must be opposite of the track guide horns. Great work though
How has TH-cam not recommended me your content till now??? It's absolutely amazing.

Amazing. What did you use for the shelf
I use the lid from a yogurt package. It will be a thin plastic plate with a thickness of 0.1mm.🍎🍎🍎
Where does one get metal strips for light guards?
I cut empty beer cans made of aluminum and use them. Thanks for your comment.😄

hello great job! What glue did you use to melt the plastic panels? Subscription is here!
I used GSI Creos Mr.CEMENT SP. A quick-drying adhesive for plastic models.🍺
PLS do a video on How to paint the figures :)

@@smc-2 Thank you. I shall procure some.

Are Tamiya tank models all the same scale?
Tamiya has tank models in scales such as 1/16, 1/35, and 1/48.🍦🍦🍦
where do u get the plastic for the welding strips?
The one I use is a relatively soft plastic container that the yogurt was in. The thickness is about 0.1mm, very thin. Thanks for your comment.🍺

Why do you remove the front fenders of some tanks?
I don't like the long front fender as it doesn't give a sense of nimbleness.🍔🍔🍔
