Tbh very different players; I think Jones holds the ball better and is a more press resistant option (Leipzig game a good example). Both technically good but IMO he’s usually less instinctual than Elliott and not quite as good at judging his teammates movements; though quicker, stronger and arguably has a better shot as well if playing an advanced role
Neither are excellent defensively or when pressing an opponent (though I imagine that Jones is closer to suiting that role), however, so we’ll see if/ how that develops
