Save Money in HUACACHINA Desert Oasis, Paracas & Ballestas Islands | Sand Boarding & Dune Buggy

- We were planning to visit Huacachina because of the amazing dune bashing, sand boarding, and Desert Oasis. We saw that Peru Hop, Viator, and Get Your Guide offer the tour but it was around $130/per person. We knew that this couldn't be the cheapest way to do the tour. Instead, we took the local bus and got here significantly cheaper. We didn't plan to visit Paracas but when we heard it was called the Poor Man's Galapagos we had to visit. Especially since we were able to see the Ballestas Island for such a cheap price as well. The Highlight for us was the Dune buggy tour as well as sandboarding through the desert oasis. Visited there about 2 years go. I did book with Peru Hop, it was definitely a great experience and worth the cost, visited three locations, overnight hotel stay, plus they pick you up and drop you back off. It was like a vacation in a vacation. You do get so much for $$$.

Where did you buy the bus ticket for Paracas to Huacachina bus ? Also are there buses from Ica to Lima after finishing Dune-buggy tour ?
We booked this bus ticket at the station but yes that is what we did in this video
Do you guys typically buy lodging ahead of time? Or wait until you get to your location and just figure it out?

I am not exactly sure, but we left super early at like 5 and i believe it was like a 3 hour bus
