We've just found your channel as we are heading to South America for a few months soon. After watching the first video, we subscribed and have been binge watching the other videos. Love your channel! Can't wait to see more of your travels!
I swam in the lake and I could appreciate the beauty and the sacredness of this unique place. Is not for vacationers but with people connected to nature
oh thank god lol my boyfriend and i fly to peru tomorrow (!!!) for three weeks and we will be at huacachina this wednesday, so so happy to know you guys found it worth it! great vids by the way, subbed!
It is winter time in this part of the hemisphere; therefore fog is very common during most of the day. I think that to do the shots they wanted they must have come in the summer, which goes from December to March, approx. Cheers
There is a legend in that lagoon that women can swim from one side to the other, but if a man does so, he dies. there are men who tried and drowned that's why they forbid men to enter a lot. supposedly there is a woman who pulls them by the feet halfway
Like the both of you, my husband and I weren’t sure what to expect when we went to Huacachina. It’s definitely a tourist town, but the sand buggy ride and sandboarding were amazing! Also terrifying🤣. The sunset was stunning. I’m glad we went! But OMG, the both of you are brave: I would have been scared to venture out so early in the morning because it’s pitch dark outside!
We totally agree! Those buggy rides are something else. It really was freaky to go out so early in the morning. It wasn't scary at first, but about 25 minutes up the sand dune we started to get a bit nervous! It sounds like you guys had an awesome time in Huacachina 😊
Okay YES walking up stand dunes is SO HARD! We tried in Jordan and I thought I’d never make it! Sorry that you got fog instead of a sunrise but glad some of the other things panned out! The buggies look so fun!
There's lots of Natural Oasis on the Peruvian coast line, but as usually happens the most visited in the one closer to a big city. That big city is Ica and sadly the thirsty Ica left Huacachina almost dry. If you want to come back and see amazing beautiful natural Oasis near Ica, Paracas and Nazca.
This is fantastic. I go to Peru in late March and Haucachina is definitely on the list! Going to watch the rest of your series on Peru as I'm going to Machu Pichu, Cusco, Lima and Arequipa as well. (You dont seem to have arequipa but thats ok.) Then hopefully watch some of your other more current adventures for more inspiration. Great vid thanks!
That sounds like an amazing trip! Peru was so beautiful and we couldn’t believe how diverse the country’s landscape was. From the mountains to the sea to the desert, there’s something for everyone! Enjoy your travels 😊✈️
I’ve been debating hard if I wanted to squeeze Huacachina into my SA travels and I think you all caused me to check it off my list. It looks neat bc of the dunes but I feel like I’d be bored there on a solo trip
Haha it is a bit wild for sure! If you aren't into the drive, there is the option to just rent a board and sand board down the dunes that surround the oasis. The only trouble is then you have to walk back up the dune every time you go down!
Glad you enjoyed! We had such a great time there 😊 From Lima we took a bus to the city of Ica using the bus company PeruBus. The bus took 4 hours and cost about 40 soles per person. Once in Ica you can just get a short 10 minute taxi to Huacachina 🙂 Also we booked the boogy tour with "SandboardingPeru" It can be hard to find on the map but they have an instagram page under the same name and also a website with the same name. Let us know if you have any other questions 👍
That photo they use to compare is from sunset, not sunrise. The sun does not rise through the dunes, it hides; we are in the pacific not in the atlantic
Hey there if you are far enough into a desert than you can be anywhere in the world and still see an sunrise over the dunes. We saw a cool camp ground while we were out on the buggy's. I bet they have amazing sunrise and sunsets over the dunes 😋
Hi. Planning my trip to Peru. Do we have to do the sand buggy ride to get a view from the top or can we explore the sand area and go as high as we’d like?
No need to get a sand buggy! You can go to the top of the big dunes surrounding the town no problem. Getting a buggy though does get you further out into the desert. Enjoy!
Both would work just fine! Sand will be everywhere regardless lol but I think it would be easier to get out of jeans in case you trip and fall or anything.
This looks quite different from when I went about 10 years ago. I arrived by Tuktuk from Ica and left after an hour because everybody at Huancaina seemed stoned and offered me drugs (US/American tourists, not natives).
Saw your diwali video ( India ) , and now surfing on ur channel. Actually enjoying it all.... Keep travelling guys. 🔥🔥 And one day, adopt me as ur travel partner ( just kidding ) 😀😀😀😀 Good luck guys 🙏🙏
How is it you travel to an Oasis, not known whether it's man-made, badmouth the water (it's the Inca princess tears) and complain about fog? I cut your video short and give you zero points. Try researching culture pre-travel.
Team sandskiing⛷or team sandboarding🏂? Let us know!
Ahhh Peru is definitely on our bucket list!! Loving these vlogs, they make us feel like we’re there with you ❤️
Awe, thanks so much guys! It's great to hear you are enjoying them!!

Yes, we agree! It was fun to try it in winter time and learn that it is in fact a bad idea to try to get a clear sunrise shot 😆
Yes, this is the reason, Perú's coast is foggy like Silent Hill
There is a legend in that lagoon that women can swim from one side to the other, but if a man does so, he dies. there are men who tried and drowned that's why they forbid men to enter a lot. supposedly there is a woman who pulls them by the feet halfway
Oh wow, we had not heard about this legend! I guess it's a good thing Mico didn't want to go into the water 😁

Oh man those sand dunes in Wadi Rum and intense, but SO worth the hard work! The buggies were pretty which. Thanks for watching guys!
The heavy agriculture in the Ica region dried up the Oasis, so now its kept alive artificially. But it was originally natural.
I just found your chanel today and your videos are amazing! You both seem so kind and the places you travel to look very fun ❤️
Thank you so much! We are glad to have you along for the adventures with us!
❤💞💖Wonderful video sharing stay blessed 💖💞❤

No comemtes sin antes mirar un vídeo completo .

Thanks so much, we really appreciate hearing that! 🤗
Thanks for the video! It definitely helps in my decision to visit huacachina!
What company did you use for the sand skiing?

How did you guys get to Huacachina from Lima? Also, any recommendation for the Lagoon and the Dune Buggy tours?
I’ve been debating hard if I wanted to squeeze Huacachina into my SA travels and I think you all caused me to check it off my list. It looks neat bc of the dunes but I feel like I’d be bored there on a solo trip
Crazy drive, indeed, not for those with fainted heart like me😁

This was a great video! How did you all get to Huacachina? Do you also have the name of the boogy ride or tour you all did?

Oasis water still looks more welcoming than the Red River in Winnipeg 😬
…and I need to go on that dune buggy ride
Yes you gotta do the buggy. I bet if you know who to ask they may even let you drive it! 🙈😁

I have a question about what to wear. I think sand get everywhere, so would jeans or leggings work? Thanks, fun video!
Both would work just fine! Sand will be everywhere regardless lol but I think it would be easier to get out of jeans in case you trip and fall or anything.

Oh wow thats so interesting! It sounds like we did have quite different experiences 😄
Huacachina has improved enormously in 10 years, it has become more suitable for family tourism
👍
I don't know why but looking at those dunes makes me think about poisonous snakes!
Haha that would have given us nightmares 😱😱🐍
Thanks Nicole & Mico for wonderful video. You are from which country. I am Amit from India.
We're glad you enjoyed! We are from Canada but love India 😊
How does that guy next to Nicole look so chill and unfazed during that ride??
Haha right?!? We're barely keeping it together 😆🫠
Saw your diwali video ( India ) , and now surfing on ur channel. Actually enjoying it all....

So y’all can learn how to respect and appreciate the culture like a true tourist.
the girl speaks too fast, almost like mumbling. I don't understand. = unsubscribed
I do speak quite quickly. If it's helpful, you can turn on subtitles to help catch what I say a bit better
Tourists complaining about a touristy town!
