I’m 56 and don’t rightly know if I’ve found the meaning of life but I have found the path of peace in living life one day at a time not worrying about tomorrow or making any long term plans or looking back on failures or life’s problems, just live for today and at least you’ll have calm and satisfaction in your life and at the end of the day that’s all you need.

Everytime I hear "a lot of people ask me" I remember, how I use to say the same thing, but nobody use to ask me anything, I just had something I wanted to say.
This reminds me of a thought - when scientists ask questions about the nature of the universe, the more answers they receive, the more questions come about (more questions than answers). Eventually, they will realise that it doesn't matter in the long run as everything runs it's course and has it's purpose.
This video calmed my anxiety for the day. Thank you. I read Victor Frankl’s book Man’s Search for Meaning about 25 years ago which influenced my decision to just choose my life’s meaning as I go. It’s calming to hear Rodney share a perspective I never hear from others. The recommendation to make it cool, include trees, and dancing is just awesome.

Throughout my life I've "dabbled" in many of the worlds' religions, as well as the works of great philosophers, looking for answers. I've never really subscribed to any religion, but find many interesting things contained within many of them. Trying to understand the metaphors and symbology is the key there in my opinion. But folks often forget that there are Philosophers too, that have wisdom to share. The basis for all the worlds religions really is philosophy. Then someone takes that, adds in a bunch of doctrinal B.S, a touch of mysticism a whole lotta ancient symbols, throw in some fancy robes, hats, sticks and celestial rites (solar/lunar mainly) stolen from cultures far older than theirs and lo and behold, you're now a "Man/Woman of God" with all the "truth" your willing flock will swallow unquestioningly for the most part. To question things is NOT A BAD THING. We used to remember more than we do. I feel a kind if kinship to you Rodney. I'm glad that TH-cam actually recommended something of value for a change. Maybe the meaning to life is just to live? And side quest is to be happy. Ultimate completion is to share and promote the happiness. But none of it is mandatory I suppose, just one of the best ways to go about it in my opinion. I've dealt and sometimes still deal with existentialism and when you crave an answer so bad sometimes you just gotta make one up. So there, live and go for ultimate completion. I went to India and Nepal. I found out what the meaning of life wasn't. It was what you thought it was, which was it wasn't more meaningful in India or Nepal. I could have just stayed where I was at. But I'm glad I went because it was pretty cool. (I'm for real, I really did go, a few times 🕉️☸️☮️)
