This game is painfully underrated, Go Vacation is such a good time and I implore everybody to give this game a shot! It was a blast on the Wii back in the day, and it's just as fun to play now!

This was such a good game for the Wii. Loved how the character customization and world exploration was built into the game. If I had a switch, I'd definitely be buying this.

When this Game was announced for switch i gathered a few friends and we played the WII version together again. Didn't have that much fun in a long time

I agree, when I played Wii Sports Resorts my favorite was the Airplane minigame because I can explore and learn about the Island but I wish they made also an option to explore it on foot that for sure would be cool

Why not a Go Vacation 2 instead of a re release? Makes no sense. They could have improved this game so much. More people would buy a new game over a port of a game that was just ok.

The original wasn’t just okay though, it’s honestly amazing and is hard to touch. Though, I would definitely buy a sequel if it could live up. This game was always way more amazing than critics gave it credit for.

This was a late Wii game, at a time when not many people cared about the Wii, not only that but people considered it another minigame colection.

Wow I remember this from the wii! I’d always play with my brothers and I’d love to decorate my house. Nostalgia at its finest! A truly underrated game.
I love this game, I don’t care about the graphics barely changing, in a way it makes it better. It reminds you of the original a lot. I don’t have a switch currently, but I plan to get one soon. This game would definitely be on my list.

This game is on a SWITCH? I remember playing this game. It was my childhood. I loved the mountain peaks. I loved going to “12” peak. It can make you feel like you are everywhere in the world. If you play this game once, you will never forget this amazing game. I am definitely saving up for a switch.
This was my favorite Wii game not made by Nintendo itself! I've been playing it since June 2012! I'm glad they updated the graphics and multiplayer system, and I believe they added a new balloon game to all resorts!
I've got a switch and my favourite game ever is botw and I can 100% see why when I look back to what I played as a child - i never cared much for the sports aspect of go vacation but I sunk HOURS into finding the treasure and other little nooks and crannies as well as getting keys and customising my house, and riding the horses around the mountain resort. This is a bit of a wild comparison, but actually go vacation is quite similar to breath of the wild and it totally explains why love both games so much. I can't wait to get this for switch lol
I've been replaying this game on Dolphin at 1440p and s sh*t load of antialising. This game gave me hundreds of hours of entertainment and I still like it to this day. From the footage you have, it does appear the lighting has received a slight bump in quality and resolution giving the game more realistic reflections and a stronger 3D effect. It is very subtle but it is there. I still think I'll stick to Dolphin for the time (the Switch version looks soft on a higher res monitor) and I assume the motion plus exclusive games were removed, but it still looks fantastic in general.
My wii went out a couple years ago and we got another one for Christmas, and we ordered go vacation, and as I'm watching this video, I remember why I loved this game, can't wait to play it again

Brings back SOOO many memories from when I had it on the Wii but sadly my Wii broke cuz it won’t allow any discs to work and I was so sad back then but now I’m so happy it’s out on the Nintendo
I remember the island one and my friends and I used to get spooked at all the mystery caves we explored lmaooo. Same with Snow Resort, I thought there was a Yeti but then apparently I fell into a Volcano

I got this game yesterday and is a major nostalgia trip for because I used to spend hours playing family ski, I was going down a slope on the new game today and decided to keep to the left but ended up in this Easter egg slope that wasn’t shown on the map

Pre ordered because this game has so much nostalgia in it for me. My little sister and I would spend hours in the open world just fooling around when we were little. Can’t wait to dive back into this game.

I managed to get every stamp at every resort. But yes, It's definitely a fun game to play. And if you want something to get you excited for summer, then I recommend this game.

Yes this game’s amazing. It came out in the Wii era and was primarily a minigame comp, so many critics dismissed it simply because of the genre if you ask me. It was cool to dismiss minigame comps as cheap shovelware. Go Vacation, however, is actually amazing and definitely one of my fave games on Switch as soon as I get it.
The 4 resorts that connect the minigames are full of secrets.
This game is great and so is Astro Bears.

I agree. This is a good game on the Switch. I had fun just roaming around trying to find all the animals to photograph for the photo album. Some of them can be tricky to find.
So many people look at this game and think “rubbish, just another mini game collection”. There is more to it than that actually. The four different open worlds also provide hours of fun: many animals to photograph and all the treasure chests (which contain unlockable clothing for your player) to find.
Is it the best game in the world? No BUT it is fun and a lot better than people seem to give it credit for. 😄

I love the fact how switch is trying to revive offline couch multiplayer games ,they are even launching titan quest with local multiplayer. This is what real fun is , we make memories for lifetime when we play games with friends or family on same couch

I used to play the shit out of this game when I was younger. It’s one of those games that’s surprisingly good. Honestly some of the areas are really interesting looking and the snowy mountains at night look really good for a wii game. Can’t wait to pick this up again since there’s NOTHINT else I’m really feeling like buying on the switch right now.
