Honestly I'm feeling like shorts are a waste of time if your primary content is long form. I personally haven't seen any real significant growth on my channel trying to convert shorts viewers into my long form content but that's not to say it doesn't work, just haven't really seen it help my channel take off as of yet. Not sure if I should continue making shorts tbh
Im 15 years, old but i love longer form of videos and i posting only long form videos on my two channels Sina 38 and Sina 34.(And another things i love ares your long videos)😊
Great video. Definitely is making me reconsider how I have been posting my content. I do 1-2 weekly long form videos then post daily shorts in between to try and lead my shorts audience back to my long form videos, But now I don't know. lol Thank you
Your videos are amazingly edited and entertaining. I first discovered your channel by Shorts and then I was interested by the long-form videos you made, keep it up ❤️
so this issue could and should be solved by youtube differentiating when a subscriber subs to us through a short vs longform video and then taking these two separate groups into account for the sub engagment algorithm. that way we dont suffer penalties from uploading both formats
What if you already started your channel with shorts & want to make long form? Should you just private all your shorts or something? I think it kinda stinks to throw away all the work you did with shorts. I’d be curious to know if anybody has switched, seen a dip and then recovered as their channel basically got restructured.
Oh dear. I do filming on location & do the editing around a job and caring for parents, so I only upload a video every few weeks & 'fill in' with shorts, so that something is being uploaded each week. Maybe not the best strategy 😄 The shorts do relate to the previous video, so I was hoping that the shorts on the same subject, would boost the related video, As you say, it doesn't quite work like that.
Your dedication to balancing filming, editing, a job, and caring for your parents is truly admirable. It's understandable that uploading videos every few weeks and supplementing with shorts can be challenging, but your commitment to consistency is commendable. It's a shame that the shorts haven't had the intended effect on boosting related videos, but it's a learning process. Perhaps exploring different strategies or promoting the shorts more actively could help maximize their impact. Keep up the hard work and creativity! I subb to your channel
@@RecapTVseries Hey, thanks for taking the time to comment! I'm not sure how long I can keep up the consistency, but I will try. When you say promote shorts, do you mean on other social media platforms? Thanks for subbing 😀 I'll check out your channel now.
It's too late to see your video that I should prevent myself from making shorts. Thank you so much for your video💖✨In fact the Analytics cheats me, it tells me that all my audience are watching both long and short forms. But by seeing how many people would click the long-form link beneath the shorts, in fact it is only 1 or 2 people. So actually nearly no one would click the video link in the shorts. And I wonder even the subscribers from shorts watch my long-form videos, they would give up fast after the start. I worry that this would affect the retention rate. 😢 And I really want to watch over my total view time, hopefully 4000 view hours could be reached and get monetized. However the Analytics also shows me the wrong figures. The view time they show to me is a few hundred hours, while the data shown in my "monetization page" is far less than this figure. And I really can't believe my eyes that the view time from all long-form videos (which is counted into the 4000 hour benchmark for monetization) is in such a small number because my channel and no. of view is growing super fast. I guess the Analytics is cheating me and wanna to postpone my monetization 🤬 I really hope YT to be more transparent in the view time figures and don't cheat us with wrong figures.🙏🏻🙏🏻
Umm.. I may be wrong but if you made shorts, some of your watched hours may come from those and those shorts watch hours don't count towards the 4000 hours. So that's why maybe you see your monetized hours disparancies ❤

Sincerely underrated, it’s so sad to see your getting so little views for the work you put into your videos. I feel your pain
This applies to changing niches too..... Gurus say you can, but they never tried. Your far better off starting a totally different channel
The affiliate marketing section makes you money too. People forget about that.
This didn’t age well based on the announcement of 3 minute shorts
appreciate your hard working in these videos! just started my shorts channel and your information are helping me!
Great video,,,, works fantastic!! Keep up all the great work @everyone

I hate that this video has so few likes and comments, the same thing happens with my channel where I have 26K useless viewers

so 60 cents for a 60 second video, and 180 cents for an hour video?
