Thanks for the informative video. You mentioned the Zedi 10, so maybe a video comparing the two, and possibly even the fx versions, would be interesting. ;-)
Can I go via USB Audio from the Zedi 8 into a Video Camera App on my Android phone ? I'd love to just play guitar and sing into this and direct USB Audio into my phone.Record quick videos. Thank you.
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately, I don’t have any experience with android phones and no longer have the zedi8 (it was on loan). I’d check with A&H. Good luck!
That's fine. I found out that it's perfectly fine to with my Zedi 8. I really appreciate how swiftly you replied and that in itself is a great reflection of your professionalism. Happy New Year !👍 @MatthewHaines
Hi, and thanks for watching! I have no experience with Xenyx mixers unfortunately. So I can't compare latency times. I would suggest finding the specs on both manufacturer's sites, if available.
If you are serious about podcasting, bite the bullet and buy this. There is a reason why it's a professional bit of kit for professionals made by one of the top five pro manufactures in the world.
XLR in the mic to Ts in the mixer should work. Or even a balanced line input trs will not send phantom power. If they made the preamps like that they blow our microphones so they don't send the power out those inputs. Hence the usefulness of XLR cables for sending power.
@@MatthewHaines I have a flow 8. im thinking of picking this up for my live acoustic gigs. The Flow 8 is nice and you can tweak just about everything but its kinda of a pain in the ass lol Setting a mic level then using the fader to unity and then back up to the desired volume. The flow 8 has a cool app but this seems easier.

Dude, your channel will be huuuge one day. Very well!!!
Thank you! Comments like yours keep me going. :)

They certainly would be! A&H only loaned me the ZEDi 8 though, which has long since returned to them. I don't have the others to compare with. :(

Well, they're still selling the desks, so maybe they'd like to boost sales by lending you a couple more for review purposes.
;-)
Fabulous video Matthew !! You deserve more subscribers.
Thank you, Vaughn!
Thanks for the shoutout, Matt!

I agree! Thanks for watching.
You just plug the dynamics with ts on the input with phantom power on. No problems.
What did you mean by “ts”? But yeah, most modern dynamic mics aren’t too bothered by phantom power. Ribbon mics OTH…
@MatthewHaines Phantom power doesn't get sent out of line cables so you just have to not use XLR inputs on the mixer.

Always use a mic booster for ribbon microphones and you should have no problem. Works for me.
Nice small unit but take a look at Flow 8 before buying this...
Do you own a Flow 8?
@@MatthewHainesYes I do. Maybe the only thing that this unit has is analog sound characteristics + slightly better preamps.
Thanks. I'll see if I can find one to check out.
