Born in 79' I was around when MTV actually played music videos all day, "I mis those days." I remember this song from when I was younger and I am glad that it's still available to watch on youtube!
I feel a renaissance coming! grab your instruments! LET IT BE YOUR VOICE!!! START A MUSIC MOVEMENT IN YOUR CITY!!!!!!! THE TIME IS NOW!!!!!! BEYOND ROCK N ROLL!!!!!!
Some songs, like this one, are so damn good, I never, ever grow tired of hearing them... If I was to encapsulate a song, and crystallize the one million words I could use, into one, I'd save you the drudgery and call it a 'masterpiece' with full justification...to me anyway. And the video , like videos are never, is actually VERY great, if there is such a combined term...
This is probably my favorite music video ever, and I'm not just saying that. I had Plymptoons on Laserdisc growing up and watched this probably a million times. If I ever bury a time capsule I'm putting that Laser Disc in it! Congratulations on making the cut, Mr. Himmelman.
I remember Sussman Lawrence. Himmelman is so good and it's a damn shame that he's not found a wider audience. This animation looks like Bill Plympton. th-cam.com/video/WVfKyWmrQZQ/w-d-xo.html
One of his best. Great production. Great band. That bass player is killer.
This was a massive hit on Canadian rock and French (Montreal) pop radio in late 1989/early 1990.
there are so many under-rated music artists out there...here is one of them

I bought this on cassette while I was in Submarine School in Groton, CT. back in '89. Brings back some memories.

Nate Milstein the animation segments are great, the other parts are a bit cringy. But Bill Plympton is fantastic.
