“Hans couldn’t make it?” “Ah, don’t get me started on that strudel-head. He went back to the old country for the summer. Left me to run the shop all by myself. Wanted to visit our mama. She loved him more, you know.”
Dean Lambeski lol yep I was Watching the movie with my 5 year old and it brought back memories of me watching the movie when I was little I can almost Smell some of those old Smells lol
Man, times have seriously changed since Bombay walked off that bus. Civilisation constantly plugged into the digital, screaming sea that is the internet.. Quiet street corners have lost their romantic nature, rain seems less peaceful and people seem far far too hyper, loud and busy. Men nowadays just decide to 'become' women, Love for your country is 'toxic' .. I could go on. Maybe I'm just turning into an old fashioned strudel head, or maybe this madness too will pass. I dunno, I feel as lost as Coach did..
Sometime in the late 1990s I was at an IHL hockey game and two actors from the Ducks movies came to hang out and sign autographs at the rink during a game, Matt Doherty (Averman) and Shaun Weiss (Goldberg). The reason it's such a vivid memory is because they had on Anaheim Ducks jerseys and Shaun threw his over the glass and I got it, I was so pumped haha. I waited in line during the game between 2nd and 3rd period to get them to sign it and Shaun wrote "that was some catch!" I still have the jersey tucked away in my closet. Good times. :)
Peter I hope you see these comments. I emailed you expressing my gratitude for this song years ago, and it has always hit right home. Please remember always that music does make a huge difference, and that this song has helped so many of us. Thank you.
This song has gotten me through a lot. During the passing of my Uncle who was also my best friend, being mistreated/misunderstood by my own family & my self harming days.. when I needed something to help me get through the bad days, I would always play this song & it would make me feel so much better. This is the perfect song to help you feel better if you're having a bad day. It has a beautiful meaning. ❤️
Thank you for this upload. And thanks to Peter Himmelman for this song. Just like Gordon Bombay in D2, I felt very alone after breaking up with the love of my life. I listened to this song while getting off a plane 5000 miles from my problems. It helped me soak out my issues and get back to a normal life. I still let myself listen to it from time to time and moan about the past. Though these aren't the best feelings, they make me feel alive. Thank you.
My favorite Himmelman song. I bought the CD with this for my husband when he was going through a terrible time, to help him know that I understood and would be there to help, and that it wasn't always going to be that way.

I always dug this song, it always stuck with me throughout all these years.
As a pro wrestler and mighty ducks fan, this song was on loop when I had to take a break due to an injury LOL XD
I came here hoping I'd find fellow ducks in the comments ♥️

This song represents the good times in the 90s. When life was much simpler 😢

My grandpa used to sing this to my mom when she was a baby. She used to sing it to me when I was young. Now I sing it to my son. It hits home.

I been looking all over the place for this song
I suggest buying the cd, as the whole album is brilliant. Well worth the investment. We have loved it since the early 90's, thanks Peter!

Cmon, get in, get in - that strudlehead, our mama
Am I the only one who feels like the vibes from this are just so positive and uplifting that it’s baffling to wonder why it was never popular?
Thumbs up if ur here because of the might ducks??
This song got me thru a rough time.
Amazing song! One of the best.
It reminds me a lot of "I Don't Mind" by Peter Bingen, and vice versa. Everyone should TH-cam that song.
When I first saw D2: The Mighty Ducks, I seriously thought that lyric at 3:32 was "there's two airbags".
Quack quack quack
When you hear the first lines of the song what pops into your mind? That's right! Gordon Bombay getting off the bus.
How is this not on itunes?
