Very informative series of how to install a diesel heater in a box. I especially enjoyed learning about the locking electrical plugs. Thank you for posting!
Great example of on-the-go engineering. Couple of points, might help to use some thermal wrap on the exhaust inside the box, some header tape or the like - anything to move the heat outside the confines of the closed space is a plus; might also make sense to just wire the 12v fan to the power switch and let it run always, those things draw nearly no power and the added cooling never a bad idea. Wish I had your bench mounted cut-off saw, so much easier than my hand held one!
I did the same project a few weeks back and I am very happy with that. I also watched all the episodes on your project. Everything was looking perfect and professional until you drilled messy vent holes instead of just getting a few 2"-3" louvers. haha. guess you just wanted to end this asap.
Yes, unfortunately, you are correct. I just wanted to get er done! I succumbed to the idea of form over function, only in the reverse. I said the hell with it looking like like a piece of art, I just wanted it to work.
