Yooo I think I’ve cracked it; during minute 9:50 a date that reads 8-13-10 is clearly seen on the upper side of the screen. I’m assuming that was that day’s date
Rotoaries burn a ton of oil, get horrible gas mileage and require a ton of preventive maintenance and then cost an arm and leg when the apex seals go in a relatively short time. There is a reason the king of rotoaries, Mazda hasn’t built one in 10 years.
Yeah shoutout to Stangnet! BTW you guys should put the original air date in the description on these videos, some of these I have no idea what year they were made.
I caught that too. We all know they aren't doing the work here. They pose with a few parts and spout off some random things they read from a prompt written by someone who doesn't really know cars. Hire me, im unemployed right now and I wouldn't make that mistake and I can do all that work without a crew to help.
They have no weight in the rear and air gets trapped under the front of the car lifting up on the front and reducing ground tire contact pressure. The faster you go the worse itll get. If you put air skirts around the car it can help prevent front end lift.
Wow -- and I thought flushing hundred dollar bills down my toilet was somewhat wasteful. Spending money to make something look like a disposable Ranger definitely trumps it.
Ya all them re pop body panels never fit without tweaking I've seen new doors for a 86 Silverado that had door jamb gaps big enough to stick my thumb into so I just cut them new doors up and made patches to fix the original perfect fitting one's.
why spend money on white lettered tires just to hide the letters, and y'all are wrong, it doesn't look better with black walls. here's a little info: white lettered tires are roughly $20-30 more than standard black walls.
I'm a Ford guy, but it is hard to justify a swap to such an externally large motor, with such small displacement. I'd rather go the traditional small block route for a small truck. Of course it's cool to see something different, but not for me. I'd like to see a 351C in one of these instead. It would be different and a 4V would rip.
I was thinking about building a Ford crown vic since a crown vic already come with a 4.6 I can buy one the 4.6 illuminator engines and I was wondering what transmission I should use so this video helped me alought
Reminds of the time back in the late 1980's when I had a 1988 Dodge Ram 50 Extra Cab with a 2.0 4 cylinder which was literally a Mitsubishi Macrocab , and pretty much every part of both trucks were interchangeable just like in the video.
Ranger front end but when you see the side/door you know it's a Mazda.. Completely different window trim thickness and overall look. Of course they were careful not to show us that.
swapped the headlights out for some black backed ones in between shots. Definitely look better but you could've clarified that you didn't use the headlights you said you were going to use.
Good luck wearing out that v10 my brothers 04 has 363k miles all original and starts right up and is stout also I recently put 1,000 miles on it in a couple days and no issues other than it gets about 11 mpg and is tuned for 93 😂, my 99 250 with 200k is the same way other than the transmission being shot it’ll still blister 35s though
I own a Mazda 2500 and I love it but I have a automatic trans from a Ford extended cab and would like to put the teanny into my Mazda. I know I will have to use the fords drive shaft I am wondering if It will fit and match up
This was 10 years ago. That truck is a washing machine by now (sad truth is most of the project vehicles are either auctioned off, repurposed into new projects, bought by a member of the crew or more often then not, crushed after stripping the vehicle).
Can someone please explain to me the difference between the Terminator, Aluminator and Coyote? From my understanding, they are all the same block except the Terminator is cast iron, the Coyote is aluminum, and the Aluminator is forged aluminum? Is that correct? Please enlighten me folks, I appreciate it
This shit was mid 2000s I remember watching this shit back in the spike TV days of powerblock every sunday morning from 8-12 nothing but car/truck shows
I spin the tires unintentionally all the time with 90hp in a ‘98 Ranger. Couldn’t imagine an additional 500. Just burnouts every time you barely hit the gas.
Always nice to have a money cannon to shoot at projects.
Plus sponsors
I imagine some those projects are at least 30-50 grand
Not to mention the equipment
Somewhere in the world there is someone turning a Ranger into a B2500...
I hope so
Mannard Mann 👍
I prefer the Mazda style myself, something I'd do.
I would do that but if I wanted a true Mazda, I would get the older B2200
I'm a fan of the Mazda Probe and Ford MX-6, too..
bruh seeing that laptop instantly made this whole video feel like its from the early 2000's
Yooo I think I’ve cracked it; during minute 9:50 a date that reads 8-13-10 is clearly seen on the upper side of the screen. I’m assuming that was that day’s date
These episodes have a copyright from 2010.
I like how this went from a budget build to a front end swap, suspension analyzing software, brand new engine and supercharger.
They do stages this is like last stage
Like every project
Yeah they definitely got carried away
Top comment
Would have been much cooler to stealth around like a regular Mazda...
Yes, it’s “cooler” to drive a stock looking Mazda. /s
Agree
most definitely
the mazda styling always looked sportier to me anyways
The z71 vette was the 4x4 off road corvette Chevy made for those that don't know
I'm a big Ranger buff! This is a super nice upgrade. I have 2 of my own around this year so may start a project...! 🤔
Should've kept the Mazda and dropped in a rotary. That would be staying true to its heritage for road racing.
Either one would have been cool... the Rotary is a great idea as well.

Didn’t know there was a z71 vette
😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
It’s the off road package, guys. Very common on Chevys.
@@trefontaine yes, an often checked off option on corvette.

I used to own a ranger and every single one of them got sketchy after like 80mph. Can't imagine going 140 down the strip.

Weird, I was test driving a 2010 Mazda today, had it up to 130kmh, about 80mph. Didn’t have any issues.
@@robertt9342 I think their talking about the older model. Pretty sure they’ve fixed issues since then
Yep, I was doing 90 on the highway in mine and it wasn’t fun
Rear quarter panels are also different between a Mazda B and a Ranger.
Wouldn't it have been cheaper to have spent an extra $500 and bought a clean Ranger?
He shut the hood and the whole front clip shook. Lol
*Insert American quality joke here*
@@maxwelllevy5760 except none of those replacement parts are American made... Foreign quality at it's finest, lol!!

How about that 4valve with blower!!
@@bri-manhunter2654 how about 4.0 4 cycles race motor
you would have to pay me to drive it
Heck yeah we can all have 1 maby not the same but v8 for sure
One of your dream truck's what?
I have a 1997 Mazda b2300 and it runs great
does this change the vehicle registration? i can see it now, "these plates come back to a mazda, this is a ford. step out of the vehicle sir"
I don't see the G8/GTO guys get hassled for their Holden badges.
I've had two Rangers. My first I wish I still had, 4x4 supercab, pushrod 4.0L V6. XLT offroad package. Skid plates and 3.73 gears.
I have the same truck.
My gears are shot in the back tho. Looking for a rear diff in junkyards.
I want a z71 vette😔
Lmc truck fenders are worse than junkyard fenders!!!

I like your profile rick:
Z71 Vette...lol
I love this early 00's speed network vibe
Does ford ranger parts interchange with same year's as mazda truck?
My dream truck👍
Those anchor tracks look like the same cargo hold downs we use in airplanes.
I hate how trash always gets stuck in the tracks. Opening and closing cargo SUCKS! Better than doing lavs though..

I will keep mine stock. 2007 b2300 with 350 479 miles runs great no rust .
I can't believe they pulled off those Welds for a hideous set of wheels that look like every other black wheel out there.

Very nice!!!
Ordered my DVD copy !
Simplemente no lo puedo creer, en mi opinión es mejor estilo la pick up mazda. Saludos.
Lightweight aluminum hood my ass, the hood on my hood is the heaviest hood I’ve opened yet, and I’ve opened a lot of them 🤣
Ranger front end but when you see the side/door you know it's a Mazda.. Completely different window trim thickness and overall look. Of course they were careful not to show us that.
Sweet
Watch out 00:30
Nice upgrades.
When you know that the Ranger is actually a Mazda B series pickup.
I honestly just say the are just both the same truck just different names
How does the registration work changing it from a Mazda to a ranger ?
That v10 probably fun on gas nowadays

Where did u find that chrome 12 bar grille, I can’t find it anywhere
Any luck finding one yet? I can't find one.
What about speedometer when you changed wheels and tires? That new size tire and wheel is going to make the speedometer incorrect.
You need to have a contest, for someone to win that truck. That would be sweet, or sell tickets. A money maker. Hugh

Hold on a minute!!!! 2nd Gen Rangers had aluminum hoods?
I wonder what the price was on that Mazda, aswell as the finished project price.
I want that grill but LMC truck doesn't have it. where can I get it?
Man where do i get me one of those Z71 Corvettes 😂
is there any onfo on if this is the same as the australian mazda b2500 , looking to do the same but not sure if chassis is exact the same
Question I got a 95 b2300 I wanna put a ranger bumper of the same year on can I do it?
What year is that mazda?
The F250 had much much nicer wheels before they put the black wheels on it. Just needed polishing.
Often thought of swapping the Mercury Grand Marquis motor into my Ranger.
on the front computer thing why not use a crown vic front end?
7:40 but you compared a U frame to a Square frame... of course the U frame will flex way more
That was the whole point of boxing the frame dude
Will 2001 Mazda front fender work on a 2003ford ranger
Nice ig💪🏽
I want to turn my 1997 b4000 v6 into a Ranger. Which newer year Ford ranger will it be for fitted parts?

The original wheels looked 10x better than the black ones
So you're aware, the Ranger hood is much heavier than the Mazdas.
I never noticed how they giggle every two seconds, even though theres nothing to giggle about
Maby cause they smell each others farts idk 😆
Why would you buy both grills when you know you're only going to use the black one??
Kevin looks like Norbert Leo Butz.
*Shoulda stopped at the engine swap and thrown a locker in it. It looked better before*

The Mazda front clip is better looking, IMO.
Z71 corvettes??🤔😐

when are you guys going to film another episode of project red tide 😢
A little over 2 years ago
Did you guys know that the Cat D11 has an even bigger engine …. and guess what ? …. it's a turbo . Sky is the limit .
STOP PUTTING BLACK WHEELS ON EVERYTHING!!!!!
I feel you. Theres a used car dealership in my city that puts black wheels on all of their cars.
So you just swapped emblems
z71 vette?
Did they think we wouldn't notice that it was a totally different truck at the end? That's no Mazda.
Why swap the whole front end swap the grill and badges and no one would know it was a mazda lol
Yes this video was needed, rangers are both hard to find AND expensive
why tho. mazda is mo much more badass than the dime a dozen rangers.
Replace the badges and done.....
Why?
Forged billet aluminum...
Too much power for a rear wheel drive, tiny, light, little truck. You could've made a ton less horsepower and been more capable on the race track.
I spin the tires unintentionally all the time with 90hp in a ‘98 Ranger. Couldn’t imagine an additional 500. Just burnouts every time you barely hit the gas.
