- Madden 19, 20, 21...etc can't compete with this game. If you want the closest thing to simulation football and experience organic driven gameplay, all you need to do is play All Pro Football 2k8. By far the best playing football game to date, and it’s not even close.
If you want singular organic catching animations, proper respect for physics, real weight and momentum, real player movement, top flight passing trajectories, real ball physics, proper tackling outcomes and big hits, offsetting penalties, realistic off the ball injuries and non contact injuries, ratings of players that matter, proper flow and speed of football, real blocking leverage and momentum, juking system that relies on stick skills involving over 30 jukes and combinations that take position and angle of the defender into account, organic driven pocket formation, unmatched QB movement in the pocket along with user responsiveness, unparalleled QB throwing animations and every other animations adding to smooth and seamless gameplay that is unmatched by any other game, then you need to play APF 2k8 and experience what actual football gaming should be like.

Its sad. They have millions of dollars to make a game thats better then 2K and EA is just so so lazy. It would be awesome if they would scrap madden 22 and come back the next year and reprogram the whole game from the format that 2K has and improve it 10 fold and people would think its the greatest football game ever and they'll actually create more revenue off of the new game cause they'll have more of the old school madden players/2K players come back to purchasing the game again.

The passing in this game was great. Whenever i try and stay in the pocket in madden i get destroyed in like under 2 seconds

The immersion in this game is simply awesome. Sideline reactions, in-game injuries (accurate in-game injuries), snow accumulation on the field. Ultimately the gameplay is the dogs balls. EA is dookie, straight ass! 2K/Visual Concepts make a College game, Hell...make another All-Pro, just give us another football game and put Madden in the grave where it belongs.

I'm glad I kept my 360. 2k5 and 2k8 best football and college basketball games. Also most other sports games on 360 better than current ones.
APF 2K8 and NFL 2K5 are the best video football games ever made and it's not even close.

This puts most football games, including all Maddens, to shame.
NFL 2K5 and APF 2k8 were games that you could tell had people working on it that cared about giving the customer the best simulation football experience they could possibly deliver. APF2K8 is still so many years ahead of Madden and at the current pace, it is going to take another few decades for Madden to catch up to the gameplay.

I bought it day one too. I bought both madden 08 (PS2) and APF (360).
I bought it a week after and hardly touched Madden the next couple years. I put in so many hours trying different configurations absolutely loved playing this game. I actually just bought it again on eBay.
It was the movements and how smooth the game felt that make this the greatest football game ever plus animations n realisim

Here I am again (I visit this page for these videos pretty often). Patiently waiting for 2K to come out with a sequel (which we'll obviously mod 😂😁). Actually I'm hoping that the NFL game they're allowed to work on will be as close to simulation as possibly allowed. Until then I'll keep playing 2K8 with modded rosters and accurate gameplay.

I just found this game today at my local Goodwill for $2.00 for PS3. I was like a kid in a candy store when I seen this. It’s in great condition not one scratch on it in the original case.

Nah, u gotta know when to use your speed. Don't always tap. Pick up speed with out tapping then kick it into another gear. Also u have to take proper angles

ImaFnProblem I just use a simple capture card and video editor, I think what makes it, is the replay angles and uniforms that really show that a APF is a good looking game.

Uniforms are the easy part, they did take some time, but I'm working on 1993 roster file for APF 2k8 that is incredible amount of work. Every team will be accurately produce according to the 1993 season and every player rated. I have 11 teams done so far.

9.8/10 because just once in a while when a defender makes a tackle they go through part of the ball handlers body but besides that, APF2K8 is the best football game out there and it's so ahead of it's time. EA shit there pants when they released what 2k was doing to them which was having a cheaper and better football game.
It doesn't matter how much people complain about Madden football games. As long as people continue to buy it year after year EA will not attempt to make it better.

I prefer old school players over the current player anyway. Even with the NFLPA and NFL license EA bitches out signing a bunch of retired players because of this game.

NFL 2K5 is still better... All Pro has some issues... Kicking sucks and you can't shift the defensive line like you can in 2K5... it's the 2nd best only to 2K5
kicking is good this way because you can miss with ease. like in real life.

With difficulty, though being serious, just taking the time to look up the uniforms of whatever team you want or a guide on how to make them isn’t super hard.
You can create multiple teams, enough for every team in the league

I’ve never said flawless. The game clearly has flaws and areas where it could and should be better, what I have stated and do believe is this is the finest football game we have to date, that doesn’t mean perfect.
