    These videos are just too wonderful to be so short. I could listen to Andrew for hours.

    I'm going to purchase a Maurice Sedwell signature suit for my birthday this year. His attention to detail and the craftsmanship of his suits are second to none.

    Does anyone know:
    1. What the navy suit fabric is called? I want to get a suit made with that "sparkle"/ shimmery fabric
    2. Where I can find that pink and black contrast tie

      Having been in the manufacturing of fine worsted for 30 years I can tell you the gold thread used is Called gold lurex. This is usually used in the liners of the name edge down the side of the cloth. It rarely gets used in the main body . Of course you can commission any design you like but you might find it difficult to find stock of this.

      @88craggle 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to add it looks a simple 2/2 twill, our company website shows a variety of designs and costs per metre. The super value is associated with how fine the wool fibre is. Super 90’s is a lot cheaper than super 200’s . The finer the fibre the softer the feel. Look up pepperlee.co.uk for some ideas. You just need a top tailor then like Maurice

      No. Typically the shirts are made by someone else.

    Exceptional tailoring , extremely well presented , I am not a fan of tailoring houses offering customers a signature line especially as this gentleman has indicated that ninety percent of suits made for clients are of this design . If I could still afford bespoke I would want just that , my own preferences which I am sure Sedwell would happily oblige , a house style is ok as long as you do not mind people knowing your tailor at a mere glance , that might be good publicity for the firm but I would not wish to be a walking advertisement .

      A signature style takes away a lot of the decisions, freeing you up to make choices you actually care about.
      While I don't like the super wide lapels, there are aspects of it that I like, the sharp delta point, the matching of the patterns, etc. Keep that stuff default, and let me choose the lapel width if I care about it.
      Same thing with pockets. If I got custom pants, I'd be good with whatever for most of the things, but the right and left pockets I would need some customization on, given specific needs. Make it so I don't need to specify 5 belt loops or 7, instead let me focus on my pockets.
      A signature style is not a shoehorn forcing you into one suit, but rather a platform to build on, a starting place for your discussion.

      @@phillyphakename1255 I understood the gentleman to say that ninety percent of his clients purchase garments made to his signature style , bespoke is just that , bespoke, of course you can request almost any alternative points you desire when I was fortunate enough to be able to afford bespoke I made the final decision on the style and cut of my suits and as such was not a walking advert for the firm that made them , as such I still have three suits all of which are over fifty years old and are unique and still wearable as , happily I have not changed ,shape wise at least , in the last few decades.

    Not sure I agree with his philosophy about smart suits equals caring about the product they're selling. Politicians wear expensive suits but do they really care about anyone but themselves? Nope!
