    I did “priming” in fact I was very good at that. All it did was increase my binging.
    Some influencers say to eat 200 grams fat per day. I tried that. All it did was give me cravings for fat.
    I now am just prioritizing protein , walking a bit more and doing some resistance training.

      You can get all the same results without the extreme hinging and fasting. Extended fasting results in muscle loss which will lower your BMR and metabolic rate over time. There are better ways. More on extended fasting here:

    Maria & Dr. Sarah Zaldivar Thank you soooo much for lifting the veil off my eyes. I unfortunately was guided by "popular Carnivore influencers". I started the carnivore diet back in late Jan of this year. My choice wasn't for weight loss , as a 54 year old female it was more for arthritic pain, mood swings, and back pain after being vegetarian for almost 9 years. When I changed my diet to complete animal products I did notice the effects. I did have surgery on April 2 and noticed that recovery was better than the surgeries I previously had on a complete plant based diet. But as I mentioned, I was influenced and started adding a lot of butter like a "gal" did and ate all the meat I wanted as others promoted. Problem is, I am 5' 4" and ended up gaining an additional 15 pounds that I do NOT normally carry. Wow Wow Wow, now I understand why. The large amounts of food and butter did in fact trigger an eating frenzy for me. Crazy ride. This extra weight has actually made me feel like I am failing my journey to better health. Thank you again ladies for giving us information. And Maria, I will definietly be checking out your website and groups.

    Tried the priming in the SBG group and it just made me want to eat more AND trying to do all the fat (although YUM delicious more butter please!) I picked up 5 pounds and they were like weight gain is fine you are healing your hormones etc. BUT putting on 5+ pounds in less than 10 days I was "done" with the priming. Started following Maria's protocols much more closely and now prioritizing quality protein and weight training...only have lost 2 of the extra 5 pounds but feel like I'm headed the right logical direction now! Thanks for the great interview Maria!

    Hi Maria, after fall from my bike I went to doc and had x-ray done to ensure I didn't break my finger and was told that unless I have surgery my finger will never be straight again. Well,
    I have healed my finger with peptide BPC-157 (on my own - no doctor needed😊) it feels like I never had that fall last year. I took peptides on and off for around 8 months; so I know that peptides work, do all peptides work? I don't know but I was lucky to heal my right hand finger with BPC-157

      Gallbladder issues will cause that with high fat.

    • @belle42
      @belle42 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Because you need to heal your gallbladder. Eating high protein is eating protein and excess and it’s very hard on your liver to convert all that protein into glucose. Which is what it is doing in the absence of fat and carbs. Which means you’re still not in ketosis but burning glucose for your energy.

    • @belle42
