Maybe you already know that but at 2:00 when you switch back from tri-planar to UV projection because tri-planar didn't look the way you expected - it didn't look as you expected because you rotated UV by 90 degrees, but with tri-planar projection you can actually rotate projection across any axis. In the properties panel where you changed from UV projection to tri-planar projection there is "3D projection settings" section where you can do that. Or you can use Manipulator to rotate projection inside the viewport.
brilliant perception of the material baesed on what the object hase been used for, where has it been put,and for how long. haha, you really konw about the texture ,i love the tips you have put in the video wishing more beneficial tutorials!!
Once again a super timelapse! I was wondering if you one day could show us how you are organizing your textures? I have not seem to find a good structure yet..
Good time lapse video. I saw your link for "*DOWNLOAD MY FREE 4 SECRETS TO PHOTO-REALISTIC TEXTURING*, but the link does not work. I realize it was 4 years ago when the video was posted.. Do you have a new link to it? I'm trying to improve my texturing skills for my 3D models I appreciate any help you can offer.
Cheers for this, Chun Chun. Very helpful as usual, I forgot that there was a projection tool in Substance for helping with seams! You aiming to introduce the new version with painting across udims? Hard to tell with your video sped up - are you aware that shift clicking on the property sliders gives finer increments? For example when you were using the 'Offset' slider to match the placement in the 2D view. Apologies if you know this! :)
Never used the increment thing in substance, good to know! I haven't done any new asset in substance since the new version is released. Will have something regarding the UDIM features in the near future.
I can not for life of me understand why this model is unwrapped like this. The entire bat uses one smoothing group, there should be a single seam up the length of the bat from the base to the top. That said, good tutorial

That way you wouldn't have to mask seams.
nice pick up!

Thank you so much for your amazing tutorials!💗
marks the importance of regular imported wood textures as materials
Use triplanar projetion is good too

You mean a texture library or inside of the software? Not too sure what kind of organization you are talking about.
Artruism Digital Library is what I ment
Check out the Mari hard surface for beginners video, in the first part of the first video I mentioned my library organization.
Artruism Digital I completely missed that. Thanks!
