@@Mike_Halewood I have many epic trips planned for this year! We do have mirror carp as well, in most waters they make up a very small percentage, maybe around 2 - 3% or lower. There are some water where they can be as high as 7 - 10%.
I am about to watch a bunch of your videos right now. What rods are you using? I just got myself a Diawa Maddragon which is a 12 foot Euro style monster.
I am using some older Daiwa Theory G50 rods. Although I love them, I am in the market for some new rods though, as its been around 6 years since I had them.
@@TeamCarpFishing thanks for the quick reply what lbs test braid do you recommend? Do you find it scares carp away more with braid or not. Good spots in south west Ontario for carp.
@@wtfhellas many people use braid when fishing for carp, it generally shouldn't spook them, but definately use a fluorocarbon leader to better conceal your rig, you can buy fused ones in different configurations (running rig, lead clip, helicotper etc). Using a fluoro or mono leader will also give you a much needed bit of stretch to reduce the possibility of hook pulls! As for fishing spots, best way to find out is go out there and explore.
@@TeamCarpFishing thanks for the advice and information. Makes sense with fluorocarbon leader or mono, will check that out. Maybe better bites and runs. Google maps has so far given me good spots and not so good spots. Make a day of it sometimes and get out and explore is fun
Another top notch video! You are so talented at this!
Thanks Ashley, now if I could find the bigger ones, that would be great!
What a great vid Paul, but what else would one expect from you sir!

Where is that second spot ? Looks familiar.

Great start to the season 👍
Thanks Andrew!
Love the video mate. They have amazing colourings, very nice commons.
Thanks mate, they do have an amazing range of variation here depending on the stretch of the river / lake they live in!
@@TeamCarpFishing I’ll look forward to the next video. Do you get mirror carp or are they mainly commons?

nice footage !!!!
Thanks man! Hope you enjoyed it!
@@TeamCarpFishing of course ✌️
I'm just here for the M2
LOL... You did say something about the car should have more screen time, what do you think?
Olive wrap for the bimmer, extra carpy points
@@berteastman3883 yeah, that would be pretty sweet. I dont know how much longer I can take the coupe fishing, i have too much stuff 😂
well done Paul
Thanks 🙏
Another great video, do you use barbed or barbless hooks?
Micro-barbed are my favorite, barbless are banned on many european waters! I also feel like thin guage long-shanks should be banned as well!

You can now fish in Ontario with multiple rods?
Yes! 3 rod rule for 2 years now!
Are these good eating fish? My son caught a big one that we put back the other day but wondering if he should have kept it.
No, they are not a good eating fish, they put up an amazing fight though. Letting them go lets others enjoy catching them too!
Great 👍
Thanks man 🙌
@@TeamCarpFishing can you share the location
So in Ontario one person one line, You use three fishing rods, you have had problems with park officers?
Good news! Since 2021, Ontario has changed the rules allowing for 3 rods when fishing for carp!
Additional to Team Carp Fishing: You must have to use plant based bait, and 3 rods are not more than 6 feet apart
First like and comment 🤩😆
Did you even watch it before commenting 😂
@@TeamCarpFishing I know it’ll be good so it’s a low risk 🤣
Are carp edible? Do you keep any for the table?
Edible, yes, and in many parts of the world they are eaten, but I personally practice catch and release when fishing for carp.
What line are you using, monofilament or braided line.
In this case it was mono, but braid is useful if the swims are full of snags!
