CFD Engine 1 mutual aid on a building fire

Engine 1 responded to assist Company 5 with a working building fire. Engine 1 grabbed the hydrant to supply Engine 5 then the crew of E1 went to the 3rd floor apartment, made entry, and started fire suppression. Crews were operating on scene for approximately 4 hours, the fire was controlled in under 2. The CFD had 16 fireman respond to this incident.
