    I really don't understand the crowd on this one. The complaints from the group got louder when Djokovic took medical time, but Fokina was not even in the court. Maybe the French don't like him. After all, it was the same year he had to play against the beloved Rafa and Federer. Being Novak Djokovic in the white man's land is always an uphill battle. For once, this should never happen; after all he has done for the sport. 22 Gram Slams and has to endure this behavior from the crowd on the sport's biggest stage.

      To be honest, some people say that the country he is coming from makes it harder for him to be loved, but can you explain to me why players like Dimitrov, Cilic, Rublev etc are actually really loved by the Western-European audience? I mean, it makes no sense to blame it on the country he is coming from. It just probably has to do with his attitude, and simply the fact that he has been a threat to Nadal's and Federer's greatness. I would love to see Djokovic raise the trophy once again though!

      @huzcer ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well Djokovic has an easy run to the semi final now. Alcaraz has to beat Musetti (who beat him last year on clay) and Tsitsipas to make it to meet him there. And Alcaraz lost to a nobody in straight sets only a couple of weeks ago in straight sets. He's not invincible. It was very windy today during the time of Djokovic's match in Paris - that has a big effect. Still very clutch - ZERO unforced errors in either of the two tie-breaks.

      D.Fokina is a very tough clay player, today he had a top performance, Djokovic's level was actually quite high, if he reaches the semi-finals, he will be at his best, so we will watch a very high-quality and tight match, don't forget that Alcaraz has a very difficult road to the semi-finals because Tsitsipas and Museti are very difficult on clay.

    Fokina showed to have better shots, better movement, better everything. But when the moment of truth came, he made all the mistakes and Djokovic made none. He broke mentally every time he lost while feeling he was dominating. It’s ridiculous, Fokina’s game was beautiful and spontaneous. Novak’s theatrics also play a part in his opponents’ game, they just crumble. Honestly, I don’t like it.

      Jackie@ you observe well, I call that "retro tennis", on clay he's been like this for years just that this year he is the worst ever, his game appear so invalid, no power in his shots, in rallies Fokina dominated, Novak just tried to stay in a game, always defensive, his serve was awful, wta level, as well as his forehand, could barely hit a proper shot. He didn't win this match, Fokina lost it. I have no idea how far this Djokovic can go but nothing is promising in his game. If he ever meets Rune or Alcaraz it will be clear defeat for Novak.

Djokovic is through to the semi final now. Djokovic has lost a total of a single set in the two grand slams so far this year. In the slams, Djokovic is a different animal. The only player to beat Djokovic at Roland Garros in the last 3 years is not here. Djokovic didn't make a single unforced error in either of the 2 tie-breaks today.
