I liked the CX-30 turbo I test drove, but I ended up going for the 3 turbo, it still has decent clearance and AWD but it looks even cleaner without the cladding and it feels a bit sportier in the turns. Both feel like real driver vehicles, a lot of fun while still being easy to use.
Off topic but... Last night I noticed something I hadn't on any other vehicle before. But there was somekind of VW suv behind me. It was newer cause of the "light bar" going clear across the top of the grill. But the VW logo in the middle of the grill was lit up as well. Was just kinda neat to see. And in the dark you new what kind of car was behind you.
Nice review of the Mazda. If you were in the market for a CUV, would you consider getting one for your future family or would you consider something else? Keep the awesome reviews coming. Proverb 3:5-6
I think if I was looking for a CUV Mazda or Nissan would honestly have my money. I think Honda and Toyota’s CUV’s are a little boring if I’m being honest. I think this has some flair as well as the new Kicks.
@@AlphaShark I've driven every current Mazda, including a CX-30 TPP, in varying trim levels whilst my 2022 CX-5 Signature was in the shop for 40+ days. They're pretty cheap feeling cars.
Do you think your CX-5 build quality is higher? I feel like all Mazda’s feel about the same. Nissan feels cheap to me, but I didn’t get the impression from this one.
@@AlphaShark the CX-5 and the former CX-9 and Mazda6 had the best build quality of recent Mazdas. The new ones feel hollow and tinny. The paint is very thin and scratches and chips easily. Plastics are mediocre. Unrefined engines and transmissions. They’re nicer than most economy offerings, but they’re not luxury.
I’d still stand by saying this feels more upscale than most of the vehicles I test especially in this size and price range. But that’s fair if you differ in opinion! I always like hearing what people have to say.
It really does NOT live up to its "luxurious" name. LOL. It is a cheap veneer of faux luxury that has been wrapped around a creaky, cheap, uncomfortable turd of a car.
I own one. Absolutely loved it until within the first 6 months (brand new car out the dealership) the gearbox started making odd noises. Took it into Mazda they said it was a manufacturing problem and apparently built a whole new gearbox. I got the car back the noise went. great apart from now the gears get stuck very often. Took it back into Mazda they said that they drove it through the day and didn't have any issues and so gave it back to me I get in my car parked in the dealership car park turn it on. It won't go into 1st gear. I just laughed yehh okay couldn't find a problem yet I get it straight away. But because they checked it they don't take me serious anymore and refuse to take a complaint over the gear box. So now I get beeped at probably like 8 times a day by angry people when the light goes green and I can't go into gear to move (maybe the automatic is better) but in my experience just no. Unfortunately I won't go with a Mazda in the future. I believe there is a lot they do great but how can you mess a gearbox up twice on a brand new car come on guys.

Looks great in red!
Edit: ohh my goodness I'll have to get you a broom for Christmas! 🧙
EVERYTHING looks good in red
Great review thank you…. I am always impressed with Mazda! And I am totally impressed with you… Say a prayer for me. God bless you
Beautiful car and handsome reviewer :D I can't wait to have my cx30 next year!

Yeah a fair bit of luxury or luxury attempting vehicles do that nowadays
What year is this? I’m thinking of a purchasing a 2023 same trim, hopefully it has all the same features this car has in your video. Nice video!
This is a 2024, Not many changes between them. I've also reviewed a 2023 model if you just search it on youtube.

It's showing its age...needs a redesign
I won't disagree a redesign would behoove it, but I still think it's sharp!
Too much black plastic on thr sides.
Ferrari copied the design :D
"Luxury"? It has a torsion beam rear end and the build quality of a tin can.
Do you own one?

CX5 is better
It depends
EVERYBODY knows it
Better? It's looking inferior to cx30, less agile, slower. Cx5 is just bigger and unless you really need the extra size is not better.
I saw one today and it looks great. Its stout, beefy, sleek and more sporty than the cx5.
